"This collection of vintage short comedies features some of the earliest "talkies" written specifically for an African American cast, including "Music Hath Harms," in which a man low on cash tries to fake his way through a cornet-playing contest. Other films in this collection are "The Melancholy Dame," "Oft in the Silly Night" and "Framing of the Shrew," in which a husband gets even with his wife by pretending to have a secret lover."
