Horror
115 min.

PG-13

Synopsis:
"It sounded like just another urban legend: a videotape filled with nightmarish images, leading to a phone call foretelling the viewer's death in exactly 7 days. Newspaper reporter Rachel Keller (Naomi Watts) was naturally skeptical of the story -- until four teens died mysteriously one week after watching such a tape. Curious, Rachel tracks down the video and watches it … and now, she has just 7 days to unravel the mystery of the "Ring.""

"Creepy in a way that chainsaws aren't..."

"Before you say it, yes I know this movie is a remake. And yes, I too often find in wearisome that Hollywood has to remake every decent foreign film that comes along. But every once in a while the remake really adds to the original film. The Ring creates a unique kind of mood, helped in no small part by the wet and weighty Seattle climate, and that is really what we watch (this kind) of horror movie to experience - and that is why this 'remake' still manages to be unique."

"Not Bad. But Not Good"

"I just half to say, this movie was flat out stupid. Think about it. You watch a video tape. You get a phone call saying "You will die in 7 days."

Then 7 days later, your tv turns on to static and a girl walks out of the TV and kills you.

It wasn't all bad. It was a good thriller.

OVERALL: 4.4/10"

"Ring around the rosie"

"Well as you know the whole seven days thing is just a way to get the movie time and suspence. Well the suspence wouldve been better if the story was gone deeper into. I mean you know the story and they tell you it and everything but in the end when you really give it some thought there are so many questions that you want answered.

All in all this movie couldve been better but it was still good."

"Scariest..movie..of all time"

"I watched this when I was 9 years old. It haunted me for four years. Four years of scary faces. Seven days...seven days filled my head every day it almost seemed like I was going to die in 7 days.

Yes. This movie deserves alot more than 5 stars. The ending in the sequel was awesome."
