Synopsis: "At Paul Green's Philadelphia music school for kids, the "three R's" are rhythm, rock and roll, as the energetic ex-rocker teaches kids the essentials of playing, singing and performing rock music. This documentary captures him working with his students, including a talented 12-year-old guitarist who just might be Hendrix's reincarnation. During the film, Green's top band is invited to perform at Zappanale, Germany's annual Zappa cover-band fest." "Rock School""This movie is totally hilarious! Jack Black is great for the part, and all the kids in the class are great! It is about this rocker dude that is dirt poor and lives with his best friend in his appartment, and his best friend's job is to be a substitute teacher for kid's teachers that are sick. Jack Black plays the rocker dude. So one day he answers his friend's phone, and there is this school teacher that broke like both her legs and arms falling in the bathroom, and they need a substitute for the rest of the year or at least several months. So the rocker dude [I forgot his name...] pretends to be his friend the substitute, and he teaches these kids - he teaches them rock and roll music. So they form this band and everything and they have to sneak out of the school to get to a concert and everything. And, of course, there's the problems... everyone finds out, his best friend wants to dump him out of his appartment, blah blah blah. It was a great movie...really hilarious! :-] Thanks, Sk8erprincess" by sk8erprincess on Mon Aug 17th, 2009 0 Comments | Reply | Report |
