"Dreaming of becoming a rock god, Midwesterner JB (Jack Black) heads to California, where he crosses paths with idler KG (Kyle Gass) -- giving rise to the musical duo Tenacious D. Together, the would-be rock icons set out to prove they're the greatest band in history. But to ensure their place in the pantheon of rock, they'll have to pinch a fabled guitar pick that endows its owner with singular talent."

"The music was definitely the best part of this movie. The Devils song was easily the best song out of them all. It's worth watching but I can see how some people wouldn't like the movie as a whole."

"Just an okay movie, I own it and probably watch it once a year if that. If you have no other movies to see and there arent any toddlers around, go for it, and watch it. There are some funny parts, and nothing wrong with the story line."

"I found this movie absolutely hilarious. I love Jack Blacks insane humor, and he exemplifies this tremendously in this flick. The plot is riotous and how he spins it is very clever. I have never seen the original HBO series, so have no basis of comparison to the earlier material, but in and of itself, it was a really fun movie to watch, and really made me laugh..."
