Synopsis: "Traveling across the American Southwest en route to California, an unsuspecting suburban family is being tracked by a group of hill dwellers whose social skills have failed to evolve -- and who could attack them at any moment. If their vehicle breaks down, or if they stop to stretch their legs, their vacation could end in tragedy. Kathleen Quinlan, Vinessa Shaw, Emilie de Ravin and Dan Byrd co-star in this remake of the 1977 Wes Craven classic." "The Hills Have Eyes""Bad, bad movie. Anyone up for a little mutant rape? I did not think so. This movie is a clear-cut example of the word “gratuity". Too much of one thing is not always a good idea, nor does it always work. Hills Have Eyes 2 is an example of gratuity that does not work. This movie was an exercise in "one-up-man ship" of movies like Hostel. Hostel worked because there was an attempt of character development, and because of the bazaar nature of the story. OK, so you have these mutant dudes wreaking havoc in some crappy desert. "Their kind" is the aftermath of United States atomic bomb testing from years ago. Come into their area, and you will be eaten, killed and raped (and not necessarily in that order). OK, class got it. That is the whole movie and it sucked wilder beast ass! " by lordodin on Sat Jul 21st, 2007 2 Comments | Reply | Report"The Hills Have Eyes""I work in a theatre. I walk in to see this movie, sat down for about 15 min., and I walked out. I saw this soldier get pulled into a hole in the groung with the blood, and the screaming, and the terror. And since I still wanted to enjoy my break, I walked out." by Jeff_Eblin on Sat May 5th, 2007 2 Comments | Reply | Report |
