Synopsis: "Roy and Denise (Dylan McDermott and Penelope Ann Miller) buy a run-down sunflower farm with their daughter, Jess (Kristen Stewart), with plans to renovate it and live a simple country life. But as the dilapidated farm begins to revive, Denise and Jess start noticing alarming changes in Roy's behavior. John Corbett co-stars in this chilling horror flick that builds tension on a growing sense of fear and suspicion." "The Messengers""Not the greatest movie ever. It had a terrible storyline, and was hard to follow. Plus, I would like someone to explain the title, What part had to do with "Messengers"? I think they just wanted a cool title. like Ring, Grudge. They may have gone somewhere with this idea, if they spent more time developing a better script. The actor who player her boyfriend, whose name escapes me, really need's acting lessons. They had a little "Brokeback Mountain" montage when the father, and that guy who helped them with the farm work. The twist at the end was very predictable, and the ending sucked. Overall, it was better then the Grudge 2, as I stayed awake for the full length, but wasn't as great as Black Christmas or Saw 3. " by CATM on Tue Feb 6th, 2007 2 Comments | Reply | Report |
