Synopsis: "Zack Snyder directs this faithful adaptation of Frank Miller's (Sin City) graphic novel about the storied Battle of Thermopylae, a conflict that pitted the ancient Greeks against the Persians in 480 B.C. The film, which blends live-action shots with virtual backgrounds to capture Miller's original vision, co-stars Gerard Butler as the Spartan King Leonidas, who leads his small band of 300 soldiers against an army of more than one million. " "Kill, kill, kill...""The grand crown and strong point in this movie was the love story." by pengon on Sat Jan 21st, 2012 0 Comments | Reply | Report"#7 Best Comic book movie""Frank Miller is a stellar talent in the comic book world and this brought Zack Snyder to the forefront of inspired directorial visionaries that would prove his love for the source material for his following films (which is why I have full confidence in him tackling the man of steel). It’s hard to think that anyone could take Gerard Butlers place as the hardcore Spartan, King Leonidas. I read a review of this when it first came out comparing it to a great video game, in which each successive boss is an even better battle than the last one. I would have to agree with that, its fast paced and pulls no punches. It was also a great movie about not sitting with your head in the sand as your enemy seeks to completely wipe you out. Granted it’s correct history may have been only that there was someone called Leonidas in Sparta, it doesn’t take away from the fun you would have seeing this thing, especially if you’re an action junky who likes cinematography that treats the eye nicely. I NEVER LAUGHED SO HARD!!! this was a funny scene although it was not intended to be funny. the scene reminded me of monty python. if not for that scene i would have turned the movie off. the movie sucked." by kelly on Thu Oct 28th, 2010 0 Comments | Reply | Report"Best Movie Ever!""This isnt a horror movie with pure violence. It has a topic based on a true story of 300 men fighting an army of 1,000,000. It has a strong ending because the spartains will never give up. You should see this movie. I have it on my Ipod and on DVD. GREAT MOVIE!!!!!!!!" by dustunderachair on Fri May 14th, 2010 0 Comments | Reply | Report"Good movie""I managed to get a hold of this movie disk thanks to my father's friend. I did not even want to watch this movie at first basically i knew it was filled with blood and it is NC16. But of course, my brother forced me to watch it. At the beggining of the movie, i just basically covered my ears and eyes. But after seeing the always popular "This is Sparta!" thing, I decided to watch it WITHOUT covering my ears or eyes. It was really good. Just about everything is good. Watch it if you can. It will be worth your time." by Thereviewer on Sat Apr 17th, 2010 0 Comments | Reply | Report"300 and its AWESOMENESS""Director Zack Snyder has done a great job both story and cinematic wise. This movie happens to be my favorite movie so my opinion is not one of the best. The story is based on the graphic novel by Miller. I have seen this movie several times and each time no matter how much knowledge i have of this movie it just keeps pulling me back in. The emotion of this movie runs so deep that it truly does blind you from what else is happening around you. The story is a brilliant clash with great directing. This movie for me will not get old nor will i get tired of it. I would say see it if you havent and if you have see it again. This movie is well worth your time." by moviehead91 on Sat Mar 6th, 2010 0 Comments | Reply | Report |
