Synopsis:
"Director Peter Webber takes on the myth of the menacing Hannibal Lecter (Gaspard Ulliel) in this terrifying prequel that attempts to trace the murderous roots of the cannibalistic killer. The film follows Lecter from his hard-scrabble Lithuanian childhood, where he witnesses the repulsive lengths to which hungry soldiers will go to satiate themselves, through his sojourn in France, where as a med student he hones his appetite for the kill."

"Hannibal Rising"

"I saw Hannibal Rising this weekend, and although I felt it was too long, it was still a good movie. Very graphic, and disturbing, it begins during the wintery mouths of war at Lector castle, as the family escapes to it's cottage to escape the natzi grips. Hannibal witnesses his parents death, and watches as men, take his sister out door, and kill her for food. Hannibal soon grows up, at his old castle now turned orphange, and soon escapes to the city, to live with his aunt, a chinese religies women. He steals his aunt's sword, and kills a local butcher, and takes the head with him as a soverier. He grows up, engraged over his entire families death, and stalks and attempts to track down all the men behind the death, of his sister, and who ate her. He takes his revenge out, but killing the men, and then taking there off, and eating them. Then Hannibal Lector is born. The movie has stunning visuals, though it spent it's entire lenght during the winter mouths, which is a pain to watch when it is wintery outside. I recommeded this movie, too all horror fans or to those who liked the other movies, even though I haven't seen the other Hannibal movies (silence of the lambs, Hannibal, Red Dragon)."
