"a great third film"

"how many second sequals to films can you say are good these days? well this film is one of them. most people say these films suck because it doesnt stay true to the games, well bla bla bla i dont care for that crap i like a film because its good.

if you're a fan of the games dont bother watching it because you'll just complain about crap that doesnt make a toss.

if you haven't played the games well then give the resident evil films a try, you'll enjoy them."

"Resident Evil: Extinction"

"This movie has a lot of things I don't normally like in movies that much, but for some reason I really liked RE: Extinction and it's now in my top 10 favourite movies ever.

Usually I don't like characters that are given inhuman powers such as the powers Alice has in this movie; in one scene she just blew up the skies with her mind, which is so over-the-top but so awesome in this movie.

I really like the atmosphere in this movie; almost all the people in the world have turned into zombies and there are only a few people left alive, who keep looking for safe places and other survivors. The world has turned into one massive desert and finding rations is increasingly hard in the zombie-filled, deserted world.

This kind of stories are usually a bit too sci-fi for me, but for some reason I really liked RE: Extinction.

I liked Carlos (Oded Fehr) a lot in the second RE movie, and even more in this one. His character's end was a bit too much of a tragic-hero-ending for me, but it was realistic enough to not be overly corny, so I can forgive it.

Also, LJ (Mike Epps) was much better in this movie than the second RE, his character was a bit deeper than your typical funny guy which he is in the second movie. He's still one of those typical funny guys, but still, his character gained a bit more depth in Extinction.

One more thing -- even though beautiful ladies are lovely, I found it a bit unrealistic that all the female survivors were so beautiful. Not really anything to complain about much, but just something I paid attention to.

The movie ending is left really open, so I'm very much looking forward to the next Resident Evil movie!"
