Synopsis: "When a deadly viral epidemic breaks out in present-day Britain, killing hundreds of thousands of people, the government quarantines the infected behind a walled city -- only to be confronted with a resurgence of the disease 30 years in the future. In the vein of Mad Max and 28 Days Later, this morality tale veiled as a sci-fi hypothetical features enough action, combat and suspense to keep audiences wondering, "What if?"" "Doomsday""I loved this movie it was awsome!!! Its pretty gory and has ALOT of action sequences! its sweet and the actors and actresses peformed greatly! the best part of the movie is the end so dont jugde it till u get to the end!" by fizzy on Thu Oct 23rd, 2008 0 Comments | Reply | Report"Doomsday"" This movie was exactly the way I thought it was going to be and that is why I didn't watch it when it was in theaters. I just happened to watch it today because my family was watching it and I had nothing to do. I wish I did have something to do. The film seemed as if it was written by someone who has A.D.H.D. because the film trails off the central story into complete randomness. The basis of this film could have made a great movie but instead they wanted to make an action film filled with random action scenes that makes you care less for the film. The movie had actors that tried their best with what they had to work with which wasn't much to begin with. It starts to bring you a story that you could be interested in and then takes it away with an overdrawn action sequence. The plot of the film is that a virus broke out in scotland and the place was quarantined and England built a wall to protect themselves from the virus. They send in military to check out the virus and find a cure and thats where it starts to really get out of hand with action scenes that are way too long and that are boring. There was even a complete scene that wasn't necessary which was like a concert with out having anbody sing it just played music and they burned a man and started eating him. The movie just jumps around way too much and not making the storys worth your wild to watch. This film should have just stayed as an idea until a better screenplay was written for it. It was boring and one of the worst films I have seen this year." by moviemantilidie on Sat Aug 16th, 2008 0 Comments | Reply | Report |
