"great theme, poor plot"

"This is a remake of the 1980 same tittled film prom night starring jamie lee curtis. This remake was poorly made. The theme of the film PROM is awsome, you get to revive your senior prom. The killings in this film were horrible, the killer could of cut to guts his victims. He wasent scary at all, whatsoever. and there was no twist in the end. lame movie. dont bother watching it."

"Prom Night"

"Okay, so like, this totally hot chick’s family got killed by this nut job, see, and then like, on her prom night this loser breaks out of the asylum and tries to stab her and her best friend and their boyfriends and half the school to death! How bad is that?

It couldn’t be worse, to be honest. When a suitably muscled, siliconed, nipped, tucked and dyed, demographically correct group of actors (I forget who) can’t get work anywhere else, they star in movies like this one.

As the killer easily catches and stabs them, they might as well be yawning as trickles of blood meander softly into nothingness.

If the movie hadn’t become as hilariously improbable as it did after the first half-hour, audiences worldwide would doubtlessly have fallen asleep. With deafening echoes of The Silence of the Lambs and half a dozen other slasher flicks, Prom Night isn’t even original.

Because the director, actors and crew bothered to show up for work, however, we feel it wouldn’t be fair to give this vague, lackadaisical effort no rating at all.

One can’t help wondering, though, how much better it would have been if they’d all stayed in bed.

"Prom Night"

"This movie, overall, was a good movie. Not great, but good. I thought it to be a lot scarier, but it made me get some chills. It begins as a flashback to Britney Snow's past, when her obsessed teacher attacked and murdered her family. Then, as she thinks she's safe, her overly obsessed teacher escapes from the mental institute and comes after her. So now, as she is at her prom in a high-class hotel, Britney, her boyfriend, and her 4 friends must try to escape the madman who is lurking in the shadows of the hotel. But can they? Good movie with some twists."
