Synopsis: "Antoine Fuqua directs this tense drama about three wildly different New York cops whose paths collide in a Brooklyn housing project, where each must make a decision that will change the course of their lives forever. Cynical, washed-up Eddie (Richard Gere) no longer cares about the job or the rules; cash-strapped Sal (Ethan Hawke) sees a shortcut to solvency; and Tango (Don Cheadle) is torn between conflicting loyalties. Ellen Barkin co-stars." "Great portrayal by a great cast.""I loved Richard Gere in this, his character seemed to be cliche but was far from it in most films with cop drama. You can feel Ethan Hawke's emotion during his scenes the person I seen the film with despised his character while I seen a need for him to do what he was doing this disagreement between us made us connect over the film even further after the credits rolled. Wesley Snipes did a nice job with his role as Caz it wasn't the typical gangster outlook which I appreciated. Don Cheadle is a great actor but he won me over with this role his scenes with Ellen Barkin and Will Patton in particular. Bottom line: Gripping and engaging a must see for fans of the genre and at least a rental for those who are not. 3 1/2 stars possibly 4 by tv/hollywood ratings Thank you for reading the review - CR" by casualreviews4me on Tue Mar 16th, 2010 0 Comments | Reply | Report |
