"This review may be short as i actually dont have alot of interest for this movie.

Halloween 2 is a direct follow up from Rob Zombie's stylish remake of Halloween, which i didn't exactly think was a scary movie,and the sequel see's michael myers, the films antagonist return BACK to Haddonfield ...again..

Upon first seeing the trailer, i was somehow interested to see the movie despite the ghost of Michaels mother ruining it.

Now seeing the movie, i say that the trailer was amazing and the movie was...well..

The first problem i had with this movie was the first seuqence that took place in the hospital. It was a great chase scene and it was quite brutal. But then it had me thinking...SHOULD THE MOVIE JUST END NOW?

But no. Before Michael kill's Laurie, she wakes up from a dream. Kind of what i wanted to happen after the movie.

A whole lot of shit happens in the middle and then Laurie somehow battles Michael. I wont give away the shit ending.

This movie is just a fail. BUT. It was stylishly done and stuck to a great emo-type movie. It stuck to the tension of the first movie which proves a better sequel, but a bad movie."

"I didn't think this film was as bad as everyone has reported.

Sure, there are a few scenes that are poorly shot. The camera is just to shaky and always jumping around for you to really see everything that is going on. Reminded me a lot of Transformers 2 in that way. Also I always liked how Myers was a silent killer who just killed effortlessly. In this film there were many times when he killed that he made a ton of noises while in the act...just seemed off to me.

Other then those points above i did enjoy this movie and Rob Zombie's take on the epic horror icon Micheal Myers. The ending did catch me off guard at first but after i thought about it i really dug it. A totally new vision to work with, though i think that a third installment would definitely be to much. Just end it with H2 and that would be fine to me.

I gave Halloween II 3 outta 5 stars for the points i said before. Otherwise i enjoyed myself and will continue to watch any movie Rob Zombie comes up with. Hopefully T-Rex comes out, that sounds cool.

Taken from the hit Jamie Lee Curtis shocker from the 70s our new version sees Michael Myers up to his old tricks. Brief background shots clue us into this troubled past only now all grown up he’s supposedly in complete custody. Left for dead after the usual mayhem Myers miraculously breaks free to terrorize more innocent people as the killing spree continues.

Relentless best describes Michael’s knack for getting under your skin. Countless slayings go on for endless periods of time as Zombie really cranks up the violence quotient here. Here the humour is gone and the killing ratcheted up as this one man killing machine takes out scores of victims on route to his sordid end game.

What works well in this film is the eerie atmosphere that resembles a true embodiment of evil. Less successful is the effort to bring Myer’s family back in some trumped up ritual that resembles an angel of death in the form of a beautiful vision. All this dream like nirvana quickly subsides as we’re jolted back to reality as the body count explodes.

Not for the squeamish or faint of heart, Halloween II resembles a simple bloodbath. Cast as the killer and poster boy for evil is Tyler Mane (Troy) who under lots of grotesque make-up fits the part. Women are simple fodder for this disfigured maniac with even the appearance of Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange) small consolation for the local townspeople as their residents end up on the chopping block.

Full of blood and carnage, Halloween II will appeal to fans of shock and awe with very liberal slices of gore that seem to go on far too long. If you’re idea of seeing someone sliced to bits makes your day then Halloween II is right up your ally.
