"Strong performances, nice script, very well done film."

""The Ghost Writer" is a fantastic thriller featuring a solid story and some very strong acting. Pierce Brosnan is perfectly cast and gives what may be his best performance as a British Prime Minister caught in a political mess. Ewan McGregor is also great as the ghost writer whose job is to finish the Prime Minister's memoirs. Great setting and atmosphere.

Does insert some left-wing political perspectives into the story but tries to even it out later into the film. Surprises at the end are very well done. Being a Roman Polanski film, it is a little hard seperating the movie from the director's past actions. But this movie, on it's own merits, is a very good film."
