Synopsis: "Shia LaBeouf returns as Sam Witwicky in the third installment of Michael Bay's trilogy about the giant robots that will be either Earth's salvation or destruction. This time, Sam squares off against Shockwave, leader of the evil Decepticons. Sam also has a new girlfriend (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley) but can't focus on love when the space race between the United States and Russia heats up with interference from Shockwave and his minions." "i luv it""good movie good picture good stury a and i am waiting for the 4 th one.. I recommended to everybody...." by azteksoul on Mon Mar 19th, 2012 0 Comments | Reply | Report"Not good at all.""Optimas prime and Sam Witwicky save the world from “who gives a crap” by doing “more who gives a crap.” I did not like this movie. . . at all. Words cannot express my hatred. There is very little that is done correctly in this movie, I guess it’s better then the first sequel, but that’s like saying it was better then being castrated with a hammer. The first half of it wasn’t that bad, it had the quality level of the first transformers, it was almost watchable, and I even laughed a few times. But the second half of the movie is basically one huge poorly set up action sequence, and it burns. All of the events come at you so fast that you can’t keep track of what is going on, and it is set up so horribly that you don’t care. there is no humor in the second half of this flick, it is way too serious. Let’s compare that too the first transformers movie (which was bad, but not nearly this bad.) Humor permeates the movie (not good humor, but whatever,) this gives the incredibly stupid premiums for this film a sense of levity, you feel like this is not meant to be taken seriously. In the Dark of the Moon this humor is used in the first half but not in the second half, so there is nothing to protect the shear stupidity from raping your soul. The characters are boring, and the plot predictable, after optimus “dies” for the third time, you cease to give a crap, Witwicky is an annoying little twerp, during this movie I wanted to punch him in the face, which would be good if he was the villain, but he’s the protagonist, your suppose to sympathize with the protagonist. I know that you do not always need to like the main character of a movie, by the time gone with the wind was over I wanted to punch scarlet. But when it comes to a movie based on toys, and an appeal that can be is summed up in the words “explosion” and “boobies,” don’t you think that simple is better? This movie was one of the worst I’ve seen all year, so do not see it. Michael bay is rich enough already." by looneyman on Mon Jan 2nd, 2012 0 Comments | Reply | Report"AWESOME!!""This movie ROCKED! Seeing it in 3D made it even better. The fight scenes made it even better . Totally worth your money." by leenay on Thu Dec 22nd, 2011 0 Comments | Reply | Report"Michael Bay's Best Movie""A lot of people paid a lot of money to hate Transformers 2. The movie made enough money for Michael Bay, the director of the movie, to live without a job for the rest of his life. However, many people loathed it because of all the disappointment people had on Transformers 2 with having stories that does not even make any sense. So with Transformers 3, Michael Bay has made a movie about how dumb people were to hate Transformers 2, and how much people hurt his feelings by not appreciating the movie. In Transformers 3, Shia LaBeouf continues his role as Sam WitWicky, and Carly, starring Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, replaces Megan Fox in the new movie. The movie is just filled with action. Well, not the entire movie, but a lot, which is more than enough to entertain you. The story is about the Autobots, the nice robots who help the earth from Decepticons, to recover the Arc, a Cybertronian aircraft that holds the key to save the planet Cybertron, before the Decepticons. The Arc holds the secret which, if it falls in the hands of Decepticons, will spell disaster for Autobots, and more importantly, for Earth. However, the Autobots soon learn that what they strive to protect, has a deeper and a darker plan than they could imagine. They must race against time and the Decepticons and fight one of their own to save the planet and the human race from the Decepticon’s nasty plan. The dialogue in the movie may not be the strongest point of the movie, but that, in no way, holds the movie back from people watching it. There are some intelligent exchanges and more advanced computer graphics with the movie compared to the previous versions of the movie, Transformers. The screen comes alive with all the action, backed with strong special effects. Also, the all new 3D effects give you an extraordinary experience while watching the movie. Many different backgrounds such as the shades of the African Savannas or the black surface of the moon are also enhanced. The music consist, mainly rock. Tracks from Staind, Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance and Goo Goo Dolls, among others, make up the amazing and impressive soundtrack for the movie to sound better than the previous movie to the audience. Michael Bay delivers a few of the smoothest, most gorgeous action scenes he’s ever created. There’s about 30 minutes of stunning fighting, urban destruction and joyriding buried in this two hour, 34 minute movie. Several of Transformers 3’s action scenes are definitely better than the confusing mess that was included in Transformers 2. There’s a scene where a giant robot snake tentacle surrounds a building that Shia LaBeouf is in, and manages to make you hold your breath with its vividness and the stunning background music. Also, the new 3D formated movie makes many action scenes stand out from the rest, so viewers will mostly not hesitate for the extra few bucks they would spend. These days, the computer graphic is smooth enough that we can see the robots changing shape as they roll/jump across the screen, with no pause or anything. I could really say that was what I liked most of the movie because of new gorgeous action scenes. All the action, 3D, and new characters make the movie even better. Shia LaBeouf said: “Michael Bay’s ideal movie shifts from action movie to teen comedy to political drama with the same well-lubricated ease that his cars become men”. By the time you’ve finished watching the movie Transformers 3, you will then, understand Michael Bay. And only then will you develop a full appreciation for Transformers 2, the movie that you, and many others hated. I know many of you hated Transformers 2, but the third version, will not disappoint you in any way." by kevinkim2586 on Thu Dec 1st, 2011 0 Comments | Reply | Report"Amazing""Third time watching it never knew I would cry over a robot car but i felt everything in the movie! By the end it just looked like an explosion happened in a hardware store with twisted metal and bolts flying all over the place." by MYworld on Fri Sep 23rd, 2011 0 Comments | Reply | Report"‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ Adequatly Meets the Eye""Transformer’s is a franchise that was hurt majorly by two things over its 2007-2011 journey. The first was the writers’ strike that made the first sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, fantastically atrocious. The second and most horrendous part of it was bringing Megan Fox into the world of film with her stale acting, conceited attitude and complete mindnumbingly idiotic quotes. The first film was fun, the second made you wish Hasbro never brought these toys into existence and the third one should be seen just for the last half of the film. Shia Labeouf returns as Sam Witwicky, who is a recent college grad who has saved the world twice with the Autobots but can’t find a job. He has new girlfriend (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley), just as beautiful as the last one but who is forever supportive of him in his struggle. He once again gets entangled in a new earth endangering plan by the Decepticons. This time it is because there was a huge cover up during the first manned mission to the moon. There was a crash of an Autobot spacecraft that the US found on the moon and hid from everyone. What was in the ship was the old leader of the Autobots, Sentinal Prime (voiced by Leonard Nimoy) and he had a weapon that the Deceptions want. So starts the story of the new adventures of the Autobots who have become an elite military unit, sent on worldwide missions for the US. The movie is usual Michael Bay fare, beautiful women, quirky characters and action, action, action. The story, far surpassing the last film, is interesting enough, but will it keep the audience engaged? If not for the great action and effects, it would not. It’s just a story that is written around multiple action scenes. The American military is once again portrayed as true sacrificial heroes in this one, as the films previously did. The theme of freedom over tyranny is always welcome when Hollywood films and players usually don’t make movies like this in a positive light. Michael Bay has never shied away from that. Shia comes back with his usual fast talk, high-pitched scream and quick sarcasm. The addition of Huntington-Whiteley over Megan Fox is a strong improvement. John Malkovich as an oddball character works well for laughs, even though that is a point of contention for most reviews I have read. He does well when just being a goofball, and I found it worked for what we have come to expect in these films. Francis McDormand plays the usual annoying government character, and she annoyed the snot out of me, so she did a good job with that. The special effects on this film were fantastic. The last half of the film, which demolishes almost an entire city, is done so well, you can’t tell what is real and what isn’t. That last hour was well done, effects wise, camera wise and action wise. The film is definitely not worth the price for 3D though, just wasn’t noticeable really. It was unfortunate though that the effects at the beginning of the movie, trying to pull a Forrest Gump in trying to recreate old footage, were horrible. It was like a really bad moving Photoshop of President Kennedy. To give you an idea, it gave the Photoshop’s on this site look award-winning in comparison. My biggest gripe about the film was the main characters struggle to find a job. I realize the writers were trying to be relevant in today’s world of 9.2% unemployment, but three months, really? You’re talking to a guy that was out of work for over a year and a half and finally settled for a job below his skill set to provide for his family and there’s many more with the same story. I found it insulting and irritating. Though I did agree with the characters frustration that he helped save the world twice and the government he helped wouldn’t even help him get a job. President Obama did give him a medal and send him on his way without any help, so at least that was more true to life; he had the hard work of the country to work out, like squeezing in another few holes of golf and another vacation. Being President is so haaard. This latest installment in the Transformers universe is decent enough, but I could have waited to see it at home. Action is great, intense action is even better, but when you can’t connect someway to the film as a viewer, it’s just a time filler. Also, parents, be discerning in which child you might bring to this. This was a violent movie, showing humans dying in droves, as well as very anthropomorphic death scenes from the robots themselves, it was kind of shocking to see. Some youngins might get scared with this one." by heybuddymovies on Wed Aug 3rd, 2011 0 Comments | Reply | Report"Eh""Not bad, but definetely not good. Good action, shallow plot, hot girl, lousy 3D. During the final days of the war that devastated the planet Cybertron, a spacecraft known as The Ark attempted to escape. Piloted by the great Autobot leader named Sentinel Prime (Leonard Nimoy), the ship was said to contain special items that could help the Autobots win the war over the Decepticons. However, the ship was hit by enemy missiles, and the ship and its crew were lost into the far reaches of space. Yea a plot that sounds like that could mean the worst movie of all time...but nope. This movie is amazing it has fantastic acting, editing, writing, and directing. Plus the 3D is amazing, I was really worried about paying 11 bucks to see this in 3d but it was well worth the price of admission. There's so much stuff in this movie a fantastic story in a Michael bay film is hard to come by but this movie has it which is amazing and i was on the edge of my seat most of the time. I actually cared about the good guys in this which surprised me. This is definitively a winner of a movie. I Cant really talked much more about this movie or i will give away allot of the movie which i really don't want to do because this movie is a real treat. Final Verdict: Pros:Great Story Great Writing Great Acting Cons:there is still unneeded Comedy but not as much as ROTF Starts of a little slow." by Emmytt on Fri Jul 8th, 2011 0 Comments | Reply | Report"Michael Bay needs a new yacht!""I can't think of any other reason Michael Bay is releasing this. I thought michael learned [after tf2] to have a good, non predictable story line in the third movie [nameing ALL the chracters like in tf1]. I almost fell asleep in the first hour beacause of the lack of action. the whole dark of the moon thing has almost nothing to do with the plot. sentinal's ship crash lands on the moom. russia sends sputnick to investagate. US sends apollo 11 to investagate optimus finds out sentinal is on the moon [optimus says "you've made a grave mistake". thats not even close to the plot it self] sentinal kills ironhide [spoiler] optimus finds out that sentinal made a deal with the desepticons optimus and the autobots leave the planet starscream takes out the ship in mid atmosphere THE ATTACK ON CHICOGO BEGINS the autobots are alive and attacked the desepticons in chicogo optimus kills megatron and sentinal all of the major action happens at the end of the movie.very cheesE and predictable end. this movie is not worth paying extra money for 3D there are SOME parts that are good in 3D, but again.... SOME. when shia said "by far the best movie of them all" after seeing this movie, he was saying that just to get an extra 20 million people to buy the 3D or standerd ticket. that leaves me to the next order of buisnus..... tf4 michael said that he would not be directing tf4[thank you!!], but paramount still wants to make tf4. this time it will be..... steven spielburg. plus paramount will make a reboot set of movies in ten or 20 years?" by andrew337swla on Tue Jul 5th, 2011 0 Comments | Reply | Report"2hr 34mins of Awesomicity""Damn this was good! Definatly didnt expect that. Without sounding corny its got 3x the amount of robots, 3x the amount of sexy girl in hardly any clothing, and 3x the amount of epic fighting scenes. Plus any movie without Megan Fox must be good, and Rosie Hutington-whiteley was a great alternative. A surprisingly average actress." by MelissaEveleigh on Sun Jul 3rd, 2011 0 Comments | Reply | Report"Action, action, sexy girl, more action...""...well to be fair it is an action movie but I'm not going to lie, I felt myself dozing off in this one. Michael Bay tries hard to pack in all the action he can to please the viewers, however there was perhaps just too much action for us to handle. The movie exceptionally overlong, loud and exhausting and with an inevitable end, I couldn't wait for it to finish. Praise for the use of the Apollo 11 moon landing in the plot as it gave a good beginning and a firm basis to the storyline. In terms of the acting I can never ask for more from Shia LaBeouf and the other regulars such as Josh Duhamel and John Turturro; they did what they could with the witless and dry script. Newcomer Ken Jeong stole the show for his shortlived role and had the audience in sticthes - naturally. As much as I disliked Megan Fox, I despise Sam's new love interest Carly played by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley(who played like one of 3 women in the entire film)even more. At least Sam and Mikaela had passable chemistry. Sexy boys and sexy girls don't necessarily make good movies and I feel that Bay was blinded here and chose clearly for a hot enough replacement rather than a beauty with plausible acting skills. Apart from spectacular effects I didn't see a valid reason for it to be in 3D it didn't make that much of a difference, I wasn't wowed by it and just left me with an empty purse. I could go on forever picking through it but this is a long enough review (and my first) as is. I wasn't as impressed as I expected to be and kept checking my phone for the time or browsing facebook on it for decent frapes. That's why I'm giving it 2 stars." by shauna on Sat Jul 2nd, 2011 0 Comments | Reply | Report"Finally the end of this same old story is here.""The plot its great from the beginning, i hate to say "i knew so" but i knew that the man did not go to the moon just because. Thats what this is all about, having history involved kinda was the reason of having 4stars than 3 (to me) The movie its entertaining from the beginning, however well this is a merely USA independence day movie type, just in time for 4th of july, this is where the Americans take all the credit and the Russians the blame... i wonder how the Russians took the movie message n i wonder if thats why they premiere the movie there. SAM is the same old annoying scream like a girl guy with a slightly hotter GF if u into British accent girls with dirty blonde hair, which she seems more right to the job than the previous one... i mean this girl rocked the whole attack, runs, jumps, rescues on high heels! lets hope they didnt hooked up on real life like the passed one .. yay mate? MOVIE: well its definitively a whole much better than part 2, however i cant really say that it blow my socks off.... it just kept me entertain enough that i couldnt skip a minute to go to the loo, so if u feel like peeing just go within the first 30mnts. i wont comment on specific parts of the movie to avoid spoilers but: First time i see a DODGE truck on a transformers movie...seriously... so funny enough its was only ONE! with a big logo of NASA on the door. i believe i saw a ford too but i cant put my money on that. I thou that the last shuttle flight was next week july 8th.... I thou that the autobots could just transform into a plane and just fly away... but yet they need a shuttle to go beyond the earths atmosphere. Boy i was wanting to go home and look for that airport firetruck for my collection of transformers but oh boy after the movie i dont want it anymore... he is such a traitor but maybe i will.. such a shame he is prolly the best transformers (to me) The Movie its the same old, Decepticons trying to rule the world, thou this movie focused merely in USA.... i bet if they woulda try to set on a place like africa things woulda been better for them punks... however we seen what happened in Egypt, so i dont think it will matter or maybe it would've.. whats a shame is that Chicago will get a make up after this. ACTION LOTS LOTS LOTS LOTS... this has MORE fights MORE attacks Much MORE robots of course all from the decepticons but no matter the number the autobots will always prevail.... on the the humanity ( USA army.... ) SCREEN in this case IMAX 3D .. NICE not excellent but passable. 3D wise ill say 90% of the movie was just converted in a VERY LOW way to 3D just like my Samsung TV does at home from a regular 2D source (where u can almost see the movie with the naked eyes). However there is COOL but fewer scenes where there is that deep 3D effect specially the 360 camera scenes, but again just a few. IMAX wise we all know that there is only a few scenes taken with IMAX cameras or that are true IMAX, i wouldnt doubt only 25% or less is IMAX however the Digital IMAX does really make up for it, as if u were to watch it on analog u will kinda notice the non IMAX content if u put attention to it. Still not any close to that AVATAR movie that we saw 2 yrs ago, but its definitively underneath it =) is it worth the Xtra $$ yes but only on digital IMAX theaters Bottom line.....this movie will be the summer HIT no doubt about that.... its a must watch !! for kids n kids inside of an adult, best yet if u have not seen the previous ones guess what it does NOT matter!!!!!!!" by tnhreview on Wed Jun 29th, 2011 0 Comments | Reply | Report"Optimus Prime: Star Hero""Transformers: Dark of The Moon has more action than the other two Transformers.
