"This movie sucks!!!"

"While Theron and Oswalt both put on stellar performances, I found myself laughing throughout the movie and not because it was funny but just to break up the awkward tension that is pervasive in Young Adult. If Cody's intention was to make her audience feel awkward, uncomfortable and root for the credits to roll so they do not have to suffer anymore with the emotional train wreck that is the main character, then mission accomplished. Cody's take on middle class, small town America makes you want to smother yourself with a pillow."

"Slow paced, unsure where it wants to go, very dull. Sat though this movie wishing i hadn't won a pass to the screening. Save your money and skip this mess. Charlize Theron is a good actress but misses the mark here. Patton Oswalt is humorous and his role was all i could enjoy. The whole small town misses the mark because it just gets paced wrong or overlooked when its supposed to be the premise of the film that a small town girl who made it big returns yet the feel isnt there and drags the movie down. No surprises at all and by the time its over your happy its over."
