"I have a headache, and my eyes hurt"

"This movie could have been really great, it is really great if all you had to do was listen to it. The filming was so jittery and fast that you couldn't see what was going on more than half the time. I don't understand how that is supposed to enhance the action of the film. I really would have liked it if it was easier to watch, but I came away with a real headache, it literally made my eyes hurt. Too bad, I won't be looking forward to the others."

"awesome"

"This movie is awesome! Now that i think about it I get sad:(

I started to like the people so when they were about to die it was kinda scary. I LOVE squirrels, so it was sad and funny when he says she shot a squirrel strait in the eye. I love it and you should go see it if you are 9 or older."

"Not Impressed"

"I was very disappointed in how this movie turned out. i love the books and am so into the characters and their thoughts and feelings but this movie did not make me feel the same. A lot of small parts were missing or changed and you did not get the full effect of why Katniss is the way she is (her background).

The filming was too shaky and had to many close up shots of the characters. It was blurry and just not filmed well, in my opinion. You couldn't even see the end fight very well it was so shaky and jumbled up.

If the other two books are made into movies, I recommend them to have a bit more balanced filming technique-not shaky and so many close ups."

""I think I've seen this movie before""

"First things first. I have not read The Hunger Games or its companion books, nor do I plan to. With that being said, as I watched this movie a sinking feeling hit me. I had seen this movie before- The Hunger Games is essentially a re-make of the 1988 Arnold Schwartzenegger movie The Running Man, only in this case with better acting and way better special effect. This is NOT to say it is a litteral re-make of The Running Man, but the similarities are astonishing."

"one of those that make you wonder"

"okay first of all i have to admit, when i first saw the trailer i was one of those who wondered how controversial it might be...you know the very thought of hunting humans for game. i never read the book so didnt know what to think, but much to my surprise i found it very interesting.

the main character katniss everdeen played by jennifer lawrence sort of kept you sucked into the plot, it wasnt too obvious to me what the outcome might be so that was really good. and as with most movies these days CGI played a big role in the development of the scenery as a whole , this sometimes bothers me as overdoing it makes great movies appear substandard at times.

Nonetheless, the hunger games has a lot to offer and i highly recommend it to all. watch out of donald sutherland in the movie, although he appears only a handful of times, he renders a great performance in a way only he can."

"IT WAS OKAY"

"the people on the movie were crazy but not all movies have to have normal people.i thought my favorite character in the book was peeta and katniss.katniss a tomboyish girl who hunts and survives for her family while mom in depression mode and dad dead.peeta on the other hand is a baker and is very kind but doesnt know how to hunt but knows how camoflage and do art.everyone who is reading this should really read all the books."

"Dissappointment"

"The Hunger Games, there are only few words to sum it up. Incomplete, boring..more word i could think of but this movie is definitely one of the worst movie i ever watch.

I've actually read the book and those, oh man, there are awesome. Very few book ever caught my attention, but the contents was just awesome.

Back to the movie, if i haven't read the book before, i wold be clueless of what is actually happening, characters come and go, no character buildup exist(not even one of the best character in the book, Rue) and even if there was, it was weak. What made the story so attractive in my opinion was what is going on in Katniss head, Which, the Director/ playwright didnt even try to include in the movie.

I could go on and on about this only to say that this wasn't worth and money and trip to watch (even if the theatre was a road across from you house)"

"The Hunger Games"

"In my opinion, this movie had SO much more potential. BUT NO. They gave this fantastic books, movie opportunity to a man by the name of Gary Ross, that directed Seabiscuit. e.e REALLY? SEASBISCUIT SUCKED. I would love a remake of The Hunger Games, by- I can't recall the names- the man whom directs Transformers, or the Avatar. Why can't The Hunger Games be JUST as long as the movie, The Titanic. e.e In short. I was expecting A LOT more for this movie."
