I am watching the movie right now and to me it sucks the person playing freddy lacked his wit, lacked in his laugh and lacked his humor, the jump outs sucked it was just expected nothing new to add to the original in my opinion this film butchered a classic it was very very disappointing completely ruin a classic did not do it justice at all. Needs to remade the right way with everything that freddy an icon.

Nightmare on Elm street (2010) review

Reviewed by anechca

I must say that Freddy Kruger series never get old. At least not for me. I've seen the movie only yesterday and it gave away a good impression. It was thrilling, there were some jumping points and it had a good story line.

What's not to like?

The effects were amazing and everything looked professional and legit. Great contrast between light and dark, really loved that part. The acting was also well done, except I do have to mention that the original Freddy played by Robert Englund was done a bit better. Don't get me wrong Jackie Earle Haley had done an amazing job, filled people with terror but I guess some things just shouldn't be changed.

The costumes were OK for the most part and I know that the designers and directors tried to make the burning face of Freddy more real, but I think it ruined his whole appearance. But honestly, we got to try new things in life and it seems that this one did not work out as planned. So still A+ for effort!

Anyway, the film was done really well with lots of great and gory details! So go see it folks, you might just be surprised!

Ok i went and saw Nightmare On Elm Street. Ok as far as I the best was when they chased Freddy and the story behind Freddy's death it was a lil more then what they showed in Freddy's Dead #6... and the New Freddy did something the old Freddy never did and that was rub his knives together.. also for all the Freddy fans u also know Freddy was married and had a child in the last movie Freddy's Dead and how he was abused... over all I would give the Movie a rating a 7.... and when it comes out on dvd i would buy it just 2 complete my nightmare on elm street collection

YES FOR THOSE NEW TO FREDDY/ WAIT FOR THE RED BOX FOR THE FREDDY FANS

FIRST I WANT TO SAY IT JUST ISN'T THE SAME WITHOUT ROBERT. IT IS FUNNY HOW WITH TIME PEOPLE DON'T KEEP UP WITH CLASSICS. I WAS WAITING IN LINE AND LISTENING TO THE YOUNGER CROWED TALK LIKE FREDDY WAS A NEW MAN ON THE SCENE ON SCARY MOVIES. IT IS JUST A SHAME HE IS ONE OF THE FOUNDING FATHERS OF SCARY. NOW ON TO THE MOVIE.

THE SCENES WERE A 9, THE GRAPHICS A 9, THE JUMP AND SCREAM FACTOR 9 1/2, FREDDY'S FACE -2 YOU CAN'T CHANGE AN ICON, AND THE STORY LINE AN 8 IF YOUR NEW TO THE MOVIE A 6 IF YOU LOVE FREDDY FOR PART ONE.

THE MOVIE MOVED TO FAST. IT IS LIKE TAKING 15 POUNDS OF MOVIE AND PUTTING INTO A 10 POUND MOVIE. SO IN ALL IF YOUR NEW TO FREDDY NOT TO BAD AT ALL BUT ON THE THE OTHER HAD IF YOUR A FAN WAIT FOR THE RED BOX.

SO I PAID $9 TO SEE THE MOVIE AND I WOULD LIKE $3 BACK

A HONEST AND FARE CRITIC

SIRPHIL
