Johnny Truelove likes to see himself as tough. He's the son of an underworld figure and a drug dealer. Johnny also likes to get tough when things don't go his way. When Jake Mazursky fails to pay up for Johnny, things get worse for the Mazursky family, as Johnny and his 'gang' kidnap Jake's 15 year old brother and holds him hostage. Problem now is what to do with 'stolen boy?'
THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE ANYBODY WILL EVER SEE ITS THE BEST SO FAR 2007 I SAW IT THE SECOND DAY IT WAS OUT WHEN WATCHING THE MOVIE I COULD'NT KEEP MY EYES OFF OF IT MY B.F.F. ASKED ME IF I WANTED POPCORN I DID'NT ANSWER I WAS SO INTO THE MOVIE JOHNNY (EMILE HIRSCH) WAS A GREAT ACTOR I LOVE HIM MUCH BUT FRANKIE (JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE) A HUGE FAN OF HIM HE DID WONDERFUL YOU CAN TELL THESE YOUNG ACTORS PUT SO MUCH HARD WORK INTO THIS MOVIE ITS CRAZY I BELIEVE THIS MOVIE WILL OR SHOULD GET ABOUT 3 GRAMMYS 2 AT THE LEAST AND SO SHOULD THE ACTORS BECAUSE THEY TRIED AND THEY DID GREAT DO ME A FAVOR IF YOU DID'NT SEE ALPHA DOG GO AND SEE IT IF YOU DID I KNOW YOU HAD TO LOVE IT SO MUCH LOVE TO ALPHA DOG KEEP BRINGING IN THE AUDIENCE!!!!!!
This movie suprised me. Not just the way it ended, which was a hell of a suprise. But, the acting was very nice. Justin Timberlake played his part well, and Ben Foster did an excellent job as a strung out hot-head. The movie takes place in an upscale neighborhood in California. Kids have fun drinking, drugging, and selling, but end up getting themselves into more than they can handle when they kidnap the hot-heads brother. A great plot and true story with good actors, ends up as a movie you need to watch.
One thing that seemed alittle strange. Everybody had tattoos all over them, not that I dislike tattoos. I just thought it was strange.
