Dear John (2010)
Sergeant John Tyree is home on a 2 week leave from Germany. He meets Savannah after he dives into the ocean to retrieve Savannah's purse that had fallen off the pier. John falls in love with Savannah who is a student on spring break helping build a house for Habitat for Humanity. A romance occurs and Savannah falls deeply in love with John. She promises to write John overseas until he returns.
It´s about a man and a girl that were in love. He was a soldier and he has to go to the war and they promise to give and send letters to each other. One day she stops sending letters to him and one day he was in war and he got hurt. After he returned to her home and he found a girl with other person. He had a father and in the end her father died and he is alone.
the movie is very beautiful but the end of this is very sad, In my opinion I think in the beginning is a movie that teaches us that the distance is no obstacle to not express everything we feel toward another person,really the feelings are more important than the distance, but the end I think it's very sad because if she really wanted something with him, she shouldn´t have to trick him
I loved this movie I cried like i've never cried in my life!
I am such a sensitive person and I love drama movies y totally recommend this one. I think it's so sad to see how distant Jhon and his father are and the only person he had in the world was his grilfriend that abandons him leaving him so lonely. His love towards her was so pure and real.
I totally disagree with the other reviews. I thought this was a great movie. I cried my eyes out, it's a real tear jerker. A great love story and a great cast, what more do you need? And Channing being so hot made it even better! I'm assuming the other reviewers are male, maybe this is one for the ladies.
I took my girlfriend to watch the Notebook and I did not force her to give me a guilty blowjob. With "DEAR JOHN"...she better invite her sister to bed!
