After a little white lie about losing her virginity gets out, a clean cut high school girl sees her life paralleling Hester Prynne's in "The Scarlet Letter," which she is currently studying in school - until she decides to use the rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing.
The storyline was so unique yet brilliant combined with the great performance from Emma made this movie totally amazing.. actually i want to give this movie 4,5 stars but since this site doesn't have 4,5 stars.. i have no choice but give this movie a 4 stars... the negative side of this movie, is the other actress/actor (cameo) doesn't get that much exposed to the story-telling process but still it's not a big deal.. o yeah i almost forgot, Amanda Bynes said, this is her last movie... well guest what...? she made a perfect choice for enclosed her career...
This movie attracted many people and a whole different ages. The format of the movie also made you want to keep on knowing what happens next. But I would highly suggest not to show this to younger kids. This shoul have been rated R. But for older people, this movie is still very good.
I love the idea. It mostly kept me watching, a couple of times I did look away from the movie (as when seeing VERY amazing movies I'm usually mesmerized from the beginning to the end), but overall I was staring excitedly at the screen and laughing :D
Thought for me, a good movie is one what will make you laugh and cry. Easy A, made me laugh and ALMOST.. cry :)
The acting, in my opinion, is well done and believable. Good Luck to the whole crew, they did a good job.
