As the son of a Viking leader on the cusp of manhood, shy Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III faces a rite of passage: He must kill a dragon to prove his warrior mettle. But after downing a feared dragon, he realizes that he no longer wants to destroy it. So, he befriends the beast -- which he names Toothless -- much to the chagrin of his warrior father
I watched this movie with my family. It is a great film for young and old. A great storyline with very nice animations. The only downside was the 3D: I didn't notice much at all. Only the subtitles were in 3D (which was incredibly annoying), but this might be the fault of the technology of the cinema. I really recommend this movie to families with kids.
Judging by the commercials I wasn't that excited about this movie. But I was bored one day and decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did. It's great. And not just for kids. There's no "adult humor" but it takes itself seriously and I appreciate it. The characters are adorable and the story is really good. I definitely recommend it.
I took my ten year old son to see this the other night. He loved it and I didn't hate it. The plot was cute enough and the animation was great but that's as far as it got. Like I said the kids will love it but as for most adults well, it's one of those animated features that we can put up with, but not really dig. It's no Shrek...
