Knowing (2009)
A teacher opens a time capsule that has been dug up at his son's elementary school; in it are some chilling predictions -- some that have already occurred and others that are about to -- that lead him to believe his family plays a role in the events that are about to unfold.
It´s a thriller movie, is very interesting and entertaining.
Try that in a school some students had to do something to get into a time capsule, then 50 years after the capsule was open and light and each student is handed an envelope and a child play leaves you filled with many numbers, he didn´t understand anything, but then his father began to investigate what all those numbers meant and discovered that the numbers were accident data where, when and how much person going to died.
It´s difficult to believe that a person have the ability for know when, where and how much people going to died, But I recommend you see this movie.
One of the greatest movies that you´d like to see is Knowing. This film mixes adventure,mystery,and first of all science fiction that can surprise you with the effects that are displayed on the course of the movie.
Now,talking about characters,I think that their performance in the movie was excellent, I mean they accomplished with their role.
without ignoring the background music, and the fantastic plot, I think that they were so interesting, because I like classical music and it mixes really good with the central topic.
So in conclusion, being us great viewers, we should think of the real message of that movie and reflecting about it.
this movie is one of the best I´ve ever seen, because I really like this kind of movie, in my opinion, the most interesting thing about it is how two different concepts like religion and science in the same movie can create a good one without contradicting themselves.
The end of the world is a topic that everyone would like to know, but maybe nobody would like to know how it would happen, in special, this movie not only shows us the end of this civilization but also shows us the beginning of a new one, in this part is where we can see the religion but this one is caused by a scientific theory, beings from other planets.
I recommend to see this movie if you are open to concepts that maybe you don´t agree with, i hope you like it.
I liked the movie a lot, it mixes religion and science. I also liked Nicolas Cage's performance in the movie. I think the plot is very interesting,in the course of the movie you think that the "whisperers" are bad but in the end the movie takes a twist. I liked the end and recommend this movie

This movie is suspensful, the effects are good and the acting is good i guess. But the ending is SHIT. The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat, and all you want is a good ending that explains everything. THIS DOESN'T. By the time the movie ended, i was so angry at how many questions were left unanswered, like: "WHO THE HELL ARE THOSE ALIENS IN BLACK CLOTHING AND WHY THE HELL DO THEY HAVE HUGE BALL-SHAPED SPACESHIPS THAT BRING PEOPLE TO HEAVEN?" You'd be better off watching the first 1h 30mins and then walk out of the theatre cause the ending does not answer your questions.
This is the film that people have been waiting for. Those who love disaster films this is the best one ever made. The story was well put together and it was filled with suspense you can cut with a knife. There are not too many actors really focused on to say great things about them but Nicolas Cage nails this role. He was superb. The special effects were amazing and surprisingly necessary to the story. Usually in these type of movies the special fx sequences take away from the story or are put in there just to try to make sure you are not bored with the story they are showing you, but not this film.
The film is about a professor of astrophysics at MIT John Koestler (Nicolas Cage)who is raising his son Caleb alone because his wife died a year ago and he is trying to do right with his son. Now he goes to an assembly at his son's school in which the school opens a time capsule full with drawings from kids 50 years ago predicting what the future would look like. All of the children receive pictures but Caleb gets a paper with only sequences of numbers, He takes it home and his father finds it and in the middle of night tries to see if he could make sense of the numbers. All through the night he works on this and figures out that the numbers are dates of disaster and the number of deaths and realizes that they are predictions. Now he researches and tries to prevent the disasters that have not occurred yet.
From the beginning you are drawn in and kept in suspense until the very end but after he figures out what the numbers mean the movie picks up the pace but successfully makes you feel like that you are not rushed at all. The disaster sequences are amazing and while I was watching the film I felt that I was right there with Professor John Koestler. That is how real it felt. I was drawn in and I felt like I was a victim who had just witnessed everything that happened. I did not feel like I was watching a movie but I felt like if I was experiencing it the whole time.
By the time the movie ends you feel satisfied with how everything turns out and it end great. I did not feel like the ending could have been better, it ended the way it was supposed to end I was happy with it. This is the best science fiction movie I have ever seen, it was intelligent, very tense and suspenseful. This to me is the greatest sci-fi film to date and will be for a long time.
