A pleasant watch...

When i started watching this i thought it would be same ol' kind of superhero movie, but i am really amazed by the way they show the concept of rising good over bad. Will Ferrell is awesome. Brad pitt, Tina Fey justified their roles..

Funny, enjoyable movie..recommended for all.

Surely wanna collect dvd.

Rating: 7.5

Story: 3/5

Acting: 5/5

Visuals: 5/5

Short Opinion: Super Villain Comedy, Good but wishes it was a little more funny.

Feelings: Want’s someone to call so I can answer saying “HOLO”.

At first glance the movie’s plot is fairly basic. It’s your typical hero V. villain; hero always wins and always prevents villain from being too villainy. However the movies portrayal of the villain is a nice change, and it does play out differently than many of your comic books.

The overall “comedy factor” of the movie passed, but not with flying colors… more like hovering colors (corny attempt at being creative). The movie is funny, don’t get me wrong, but it isn’t a movie where you’d call up a buddy and be all “DUDE just saw the funniest movie!” It had more giggle scenes then laughing scenes…and yes I said giggle.

The movie’s visuals were very good. The animations and special effects were flawless and worked well to really give you the whole superhero vibe. The building’s in Metro City looked great, and it was almost sad to see so much destroyed by all the reckless Super Humans.

All in all the movie was good. Parents this is a family appropriate movie and for those of you older then 12, it’ll make you laugh too. The voice over actors did a phenomenal job which made the movie fun to watch. Megamind’s random mispronunciation of words has inspired me to say “Holo” (pronounced Hole-oh) when I answer my phone. I enjoyed the movies ending and I’m sure you will too… unless you’re demented.

Will Ferrell? yes. Hilarious? No. Worth the Trip to the Theatre? Eh.

Interesting (in a "not what was expected" kind of way) film.

"Megamind" previews played it off as a comedy - turns out it was anything but - even for kids. Waiting with baited breath the entire film for something funny to happen or be said (something OTHER than what we'd seen in the trailers), the laughs never came (even with WF as the main character).

As with any superhero type movie, there's a lot of action. The movie feels like it was built around the fact that it would be shown in 3D, not built around a great story.

That said, it wasn't a bad movie. Call it yet another angle on the "Is the bad guy really a bad guy?" theme that continues to be grow since its inception in the broadway musical "Wicked".

If you haven't seen Megamind - don't. There's really no reason to spend the money. Big WF fans and kids - hold off for the .99 cent video version.
