Stephanie Plum (Katherine Heigl), an unemployed lingerie buyer, convinces her bail bondsman cousin, Vinnie (Patrick Fischler), to give her a shot as a bounty hunter. Her first assignment is to track down a former cop, Joe Morelli (Jason O'Mara), on the run for murder -- the same man who broke her heart years before. With the help of some friends and the best bounty hunter in the business, Ranger (Daniel Sunjata), she slowly learns what it takes to be a true bounty hunter.

I have waited 18 years for this movie and was not disappointed. Don't listen to the critics, I have learned thru the years that if they bad mouth a movie you should put it on your "to see" list. You can nitpick any movie you see but Janet Evanovich's books are a good fun and this movie was fun to watch. I have read all eighteen of her books and cast the characters in my mind everytime I read one and could not have done a better job than the production company did. Catherine Heigl is Stephanie Plum. Shame on the critics, someone should smack them with their "pocketbook" to wake them up. I hope the movie makers listen to the fans and not these critics, that have probably never read a "Plum" novel. My theater was full and all I heard was laughter and people enjoying themselves. I can't wait for "Two for the Dough".
Very true to the book. Don't usually care for Katherine Heigl but did in this movie. All of the casting was perfect. Laughed out loud at the movie as much as I did when reading the book (just about every other page). Planning to see it again.
Guys will like it as much as gals. Lots of action, a few nail biting moments, and just plain funny quite often.
