Family Fun!

Reviewed by Billybob

I think this is a fantastic film, a good one to watch with the family. I enjoyed the first two films as well, I loved the effects on all the films. I must say well done to Johnny Depp for all the acting he has done, and I think the Director and the crew have made a amazing film. It's a very funny film and I would recommend it to families, maybe not suitable for younger children but it's not that scary. I can't wait to see the next one in May 2011!

hmmm i am a big fan of the pirates of the carribean movies but, i wonder if the director/writer of these movies actually plan these films out or makes them up as he goes along. the films get weirder and weirder and weirder, but never the less the all the films are epic.

This movie was amazing and probrably better than the first ones i would say. It was so much fun just watching it. I give a lot of credit to Jhonny depp. Oh what a man. It was also really funny I think I laughed throughout the whole movie. They should really make another one don't you think.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

The summer's top grossing film!
Why? It covers everything: action/suspense/fantasy/romance/comedy. The best movie for your buck at 2:45, Pirates 3 is filled with special effects with the last 40 minutes being the most original and visually stunning in cinema history. This film is WHY we GO to the movies! It won't be the same on DVD no matter how big your screen is. If you haven't seen it on the 'big screen' you haven't really seen it. Hans Zimmer's incredible score heightens the films action. It IS a must see! Geoffrey Rush's performance is superb possible Oscar nod? Kiera Knightley should also be nominated for an Oscar. Johnny & Orlando of course ALWAYS AWESOME - If you haven't seen it hurry! Ye might not pass this way again!

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

At the end of Pirates 2, we see the Kraken seemingly devour our anti-hero Captain Jack Sparrow, and all fans of the films are desperate to see his imminent return in the third film. Johnny Depp's saccharine portrayal of the roguish swashbuckler IS the heart and soul of this fantasy/action franchise, after all. After seeing the third film, after months of anticipation, I can honestly say I am still waiting for his return.
Depp seemed to have his heart still in the role, but the convoluted (and downright boring) plot combined with lack-luster dialogue and downright silly set pieces could not save our favorite pirate from his tomb in Davy Jones Locker.
The film has its trademark moments; you get the return of Geoffery Rush's Captain Barbosa and the introduction of some new pirate lords, but the lack of any genuine Jack Sparrow moments just doesn't keep this ship afloat.
The action is diluted for part three as well, and while there are some classic pirate moments, nothing tops scenes from either of the first two films, which were better by far in either pacing, dialogue or plot.
See part three if only to conclude the trilogy of what HAD been a fun filled trek through a forgotten genre, but be warned that the thrills from the first two are few and far between. Aaargh...
