Captain Jack Sparrow crosses paths with a woman from his past, and he's not sure if it's love -- or if she's a ruthless con artist who's using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the Queen Anne's Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard, Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn't know who to fear more: Blackbeard or the woman from his past.

This installment of Pirates is just the same as all the others, great characters, decent story, awesome music, and spectacular effects.
But that's what also keeps it from getting a 5 star rating from me. It's just more of the same, Jack looses his ship, Jack tries to get his ship back, fights some stuff along the way, and triumphs in the end.
The movie is still very entertaining with great acting, but after 4 movies you'd expect a bit more. Why can't we learn more about jacks past, explore the characters a bit more. Every movie just seems to live in the now at all times. Even as we start to learn a little bit about a characters past, they throw in a fight scene to keep us entertained.
But maybe that's all Pirates aims to be, a bit of entertainment (which it still does very well) and not the type of saga that it could be by using the characters and actors at their full potential.
