Movie Review Written By Hector Fernando Andrade JR. II

You may find this hard to believe In my movie review of Spider-Man but I was 7 years old when my mom and I frist bought Spider-Man on VHS and on DVD at Wal-Mart when I came to live here in Brockton MA. with my mom and my stepdad. Spider-Man is a 2002 American superhero film based on the fictional Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. Spider-Man is the first movie in the Spider-Man film series. Spider-Man was directed by Sam Raimi and written by David Koepp, Alvin Sargent, Scott Rosenbrug and Ivan Raimi. and stars Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker also known as Spider-Man, Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson, James Franco as Harry Osborn and Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborn also known as The Green Goblin. Spider-Man was the frist movie that my mom and I saw that was rated PG-13 for stylized violence and action. Before my mom and I watched Spider-Man we both had no idea what to expect was Spider-Man going to be a good movie or a bad movie or a scary movie so my mom and I went home and got and poped some popcorn and got our drinks of Coca-Cola and my mom put the VHS of Spider-Man Into the VHS player and we both sat on our seats of our couch with our popcorn and our drinks of Coca-Cola and watched Spider-Man.

My mom and I thought that the story of Spider-Man was a very understandable superhero orgin story and I think that the story of Spider-Man was absolutely absorbingly told with abundance.

Acting: Spider-Man was the first movie my mom and I saw with Tobey Maguire, Willem Dafoe, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Cliff Robertson, Roesmary Harris, J.K. Simmons, Elizabeth Banks, Bill Nunn, Ted Raimi and Joe Manganiello.

Tobey Maguire plays the role of Peter Parker also known as Spider-Man. Peter Parker is An academic but socially inept student and a photographer for The Daily Bugle who is bitten by a genetically modified spider and gains spider-like abilities and becomes Spider-Man.

Willem Dafoe plays the role of Norman Osborn also known as The Green Goblin. Norman Osborn is the CEO of Oscorp who tests an unstable strength enhancer on himself and becomes the insane and powerful The Green Goblin. Unaware of Spider-Man\'s true identity, he also sees himself as a father figure for Peter, ignoring his own son, Harry Osborn.

Kirsten Dunst plays the role of Mary Jane Watson and she is the girl whom Peter Parker has developed a crush since he was six years old. Mary Jane has an abusive father, and aspires to become an actress, but becomes a waitress at a run down diner, a fact she hides from her boyfriend Harry Osborn.

James Franco plays the role of Harry Osborn who is the Ignored son of Norman Osborn and Harry Is Peter Parker\'s best friend and flatmate. He constantly tries to appeal to his father, who very invested in his work, and he is jealous of Peter\'s intelligence. He dates Mary Jane Watson though she eventually falls for Peter, and he manages to somewhat reconcile his feelings with his father.

Cliff Robertson plays the role of Ben Parker who is the husband to May Parker and uncle of Peter Parker and a fired electrician who is trying to find a new job and one day tells Peter the message, \"With great power comes great responsibility.\"

Rosemary Harris plays the role of May Parker who is the wife to Ben Parker and the aunt of Peter Parker and Aunt May is a devout Christian who is highly aware of Peter\'s love for Mary Jane Watson.

J.K. Simmons plays the role of J. Jonah Jameson who is the grouchy chief editor of The Daily Bugle who considers Spider-Man a criminal. Nonetheless he has a good side and pays Peter for photos of Spider-Man, and refuses to tell The Green Goblin the identity of the photographer.

Elizabeth Banks plays the role of Miss Betty Brant who is J. Jonah Jameson\'s secretary at The Daily Bugle and a longtime employee at The Daily Bugle.

Bill Nunn plays the role of Joseph \"Robbie\" Robertson who is The Editor-in-chief at the Daily Bugle and and a close confidant of publisher J. Jonah Jameson, acting as a voice of reason in Jameson’s campaign to discredit Spider-Man. He is also more friendly and supportive of Peter Parker and a longtime employee at The Daily Bugle.

Ted Raimi director Sam Raimi\'s and Spider-Man\'s foruth uncriteded movie screenplay writer Ivan Raimi\'s third brother plays the role of Hoffman who is a happy and kind employee at The Daily Bugle and Hoffman is s longtime employee at The Daily Bugle.

Joe Manganiello plays the role of Flash Thompson who is a repugnant high school student who bullies Peter, and is defeated in a fight after Peter inherits his spider-like powers and the rest of the genius cast and all the acting from all the actors in Spider-Man is active and admirable and impressvive and realalistic.

Direction: Spider-Man was the first movie my mom and I saw that was directed by Sam Raimi. What we liked about Spider-Man is that he Is a humanstic superhero and director Sam Raimi\'s direction as the director of Spider-Man Is alive and amazing and appealing with a naturalistic feel.

Visuals: The action scenes and the special effects and the visual effects that are designed by John Dykstra of Peter Parker and of Spider-Man and of The Green Goblin in the action scenes are approving. Danny Elffman creates and composes some attracing beautiful music for Spider-Man and we really liked the message In Spider-Man which Is \"that as we get older we have to acpect reponsilbillty for our actions and that means \"with great power comes great reponsibility\" what a reallistic message.

Overall: Spider-Man is an A outstanding very entertaing and smart action-packed award bargain with beaming beats golden goodness 10 stars excellent blockbuster superhero movie. Spider-Man is the number 1 best action movie of the summer of the year of 2002 and the year of 2002. I give Spider-Man two thumbs up and the score of 91 out of 100 and I hope you enjoy Spider-Man so enjoy the movie enjoy Spider-Man.
