Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane brings his boundary-pushing brand of humor to the big screen for the first time as writer, director and voice star of Ted. In the live action/CG-animated comedy, he tells the story of John Bennett, a grown man who must deal with the cherished teddy bear who came to life as the result of a childhood wish, and has refused to leave his side ever since.
this has got to be one of the funniest movies iv ever seen. i was really impressed when this film was released as its from the creaters of family guy so i automatically knew it would be a great film. i loved the story line and its got loads of awesome jokes all the way through it so it never gets boring. one of my favorite seens has got to be a fight seen :)
Why do filmmakers feel the need to end every comedy with some drawn-out sappy garbage? This was a really good film until the last half hour or so. It took about 15 minutes of me considering going home to suck-start my 9mm for this to go from a five star to a three star movie.
This movie definitely has mixed reviews. I would be one of those who liked it. It was funny that it had some of the voice actors from Family Guy. This movie is entertaining and Mila Kunis looks great in it! She seems a little stuck on herself in real life but she is a decent actress. Watch this movie and as long as you aren't too uptight about the sexual humor and language you should like this movie. 7/10
Abominable. Detestable. Dismal. Deleterious. Humorless. Salacious. Scatological. Revolting. Ridiculous. Vile. Wretched.
Only partially describes this disgusting movie, starring Mark Wahlberg and his foul-mouthed, bibulous , drug-addicted, good-for-nothing, copulating Teddy Bear.
Teddy Bears of the universe unite, join in a class action suit; sue for defamation of character. No matter the monetary reward it will take generations to erase the damage "Ted" has done to your once warm and cuddly reputation!

This movie is so funny that I will have to go see it again because I laughed so hard I missed half the movie. It's a fairly rehashed premise but then you add Seth McFarland and it becomes better than just fresh, there is actual humor. Gather up your "Open" mind, leave your a$$ stick at the house and go see this movie.. Btw, if you don't let your self enjoy the movie, you will be torn and possibly permently scarred.
This movie had a few funny moments. But mostly it was just the use of vulgar language and actions posing as humor. As more than one person in the audience observed out loud, "This movie is stupid.". Don't waste your money at the box office. You will be disappointed if you are expecting a laugh sensation.
I don't know how much I could say about this movie other than it is about a teddy bear with one hell of a dirty mouth. Apparently people love him though because he has now become a sex icon for the plushie community. So now people are craving some wild fun with a bad mouthed teddy bear?...If you don't believe me, read about it yourself.. http://thecelebritycafe.com/feature/2012/06/ted-becomes-plushie-sex-symbol
