In Italy, a woman becomes involved in a series of unauthorized exorcisms during her mission to discover what happened to her mother, who allegedly murdered three people during her own exorcism.
Ok listen here, this is probably a movie that will be worst reviewed by me. The movie had the worst dialogue ever. The actors, were completely rubbish. It only generated fear in one scene of the film, and most of it was hard to follow and understand, and just made no complete sense what so ever. The movie in general was a complete waste of time to watch, as it only lasted around an hour. It was also a waste of money. I expected more of the film, and came out with a "what did I just waste my money watching?" feeling. It was that bad. It was filmed in a documentary type style, which made it even more so bad, as you really need a good dialogue and understanding of the film to pull that of.
Ok heres the question I'll awnser, should you pay to see this film?
Answer: No, complete waste of time and money. Worst film i've seen by far.
I've seen a lot of Exorcism movies. Most of them being VERY bad. The last good one I saw was the Last Exorcism. Well worth watching... well worth owning.
I was hesitant to step into the movie THE DEVIL INSIDE.
Yet... here I went...
I have to say, it was believable... even the ending. I love realism when it comes to horror... which is why The Devil Inside interested me to begin with... also that, and I am addicted to Exorcism movies/articles/documentaries.
Don't go into this expecting Green Pea Soup to be spit everywhere and a lot of gore. Go into this movie expecting to see some things that would FREAK YOU OUT if they happened to you in real life. If you can do that, you'll enjoy this movie. If you can't you might as well skip this one. You have to look at it from a stand point of real life to truly enjoy it. If this happened to you ... it would scare the hell out of you. Not me personally... I am so immune to scary things it's unreal, however, a "normal" person would probably have a freaking heart attack.
Now make no mistake about it... the ending SUCKS. But aside from that... the film is tolerable for those of us who like EXORCISM subjects.
For me... The eerie vibe throughout the movie, the realistic effects, the great acting, and the really good story make this for one of the better of the Exorcism movies out there on the market. Not the best though.... could have done a little more, but this is well worth watching!
Do not see this film. It is bad. The acting is terrible. It is not suspensful or scary and all the ok parts in it were spoiled in the trailer.
I saw this with my friend and I was even bored during the exorcism scenes. The characters are unlikeable. The woman who played Isabella is sooo annoying and the camera work was hideous.
I felt neauseaus 5 minutes in and I walked out 30 minutes in and vomited several times (partly due to the hand-held camera).
It tries to be a shocking film but it is very very very tame.
If you want to see it, just watch the trailer. Do not waste your money on this failure of a film!
I don't normally write reviews, but my wife and I got up and left. Not only was the movie completely unwatchable, it had us both feeling like we needed to puke with the "fake documentary" jerky camera action. I was seriously pissed that we wasted our night and money on this. Doesn't even deserve a star.
