The heroic story of a dictator who risks his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.
This must be a joke...
Is this humor ?!
I shared a few laughs with Borat, not really my kind of humor but still it was quite funny.
Then Bruno came... Not very funny. It was aweful and low level humor.
Then The Dictator... Had my hopes up for actor Cohen that this movie was better than Bruno... But its just as BAD!!!
Okay... okay... There was one funny part in the movie. When the dictator was in the heli with the American couple. That was pretty funny.
Overall, I give this movie a 3
This movie is a prime example of when you don’t have original writing to captivate your audience, just crawl into the bowels of tasteless sexual perverse content. The movie would have been just fine without the morbid sexual innuendo. In my opinion this reflects poorly on the writing/directing and producing of this film. C’mon people get your head out of the gutter you’re better than that? Just think you have this little jewel to share as a legacy of you’re creativity with your children!
This was one of those movies that I expected would be hilarious. Most of Sacha Baron Cohen's films are more funny than entertaining. This was one of those that was more entertaining than funny. There were some funny parts but it couldn't even compare to how funny Bruno was. The story line was a little better, but I wish that he would have stayed in power through the whole movie. It would have been more entertaining that way. The ending I thought at first was going to be ruined, but then it was brought back to the way that it probably should have ended. I would recommend you watch this even if you didn't like Bruno or Borat. 6.5/10
