The English Patient (1996)
The filmed version of the novel by Michael Ondaatje of the same name. This film tells of love stories during the turbulent times of World War 2. Director Anthony Minghella films the biography of Ladislaus Almasy.
Not a bad love story. He has an affair with a married woman and they fall in love. Based on the planes and uniforms it seemed like the war they were fighting was a mix of World War I and World War II. I didn't think that I would like this movie but it turned out to be one that I did enjoy. A big problem that I had with the movie is that they spoil the ending by revealing how it ends in the first scene of the movie. There is no suspense because you already know that the woman dies so you are just waiting for it to happen throughout the whole movie. 6/10
