I went to see this movie in the hopes of seeing a good old slasher film filled with creative gory deaths and lots of intense thrill rides. As a long time fan of the final destionation series I'll admit I wasn't expecting much after the unimpressive 'Final Destionation 3' but because of the fact it was a final destionation final, I was obviously going to see it. And what a mistake I made!
This film is so bad it is just so hard to review as it is hard to find words to describe how bad it really is. The acting is just so drone and annoying and the main characters are just so boring unememberable. Aside from this the script just shows that the writing crew stoped trying years ago and ar just recycling the same old same old material that we have all seen before. Which brngs meto the point of the death scenes. And to basicaly get to the point, there all just so awful and unimaginatve. Most of them are all more or less exacly the same in everyway and even the most grusom imginative death is just unshocking and simply comical. I can't complain too much about the CGI as it is pretty much up to the standard of the previous flms in the series but of course it just seems a bit more unrealistic in this particular installment due mainly to the fact of te use of 3D (Killing movies everwhere as usual).
Aside from all this the ending was just terrible and what seemed like a last minute thing that the writters threw in simply because they couldn't think of anyway of ending it.
Another thing that bothered me was the fact that there just didn't seem to be anything worthwhle about watching this movie. I mean whe watching the first film, there were alot of things in it that really made you think alot about death and how we should define it and just how it works. But in this most recent installment nothing makes you think, nothing makes us walk away from the movie theatre worring that death is going to get us, and the reaso is because this movie just didn't affect me in anyway, there truely was nothing good I could find about this movie
First things first, I don’t know where to start. Okay, who doesn’t like Final Destination series? Yeah I know everybody likes the past 3 movies.
First when I heard that the director of Final Destination 2 will be the director of this movie.. I thought it will be a mess. Because seriously, I don’t like the second movie. But the story was cool, so I like it. Good job direct Ellis.
This is a very good movie, but it was not good enough to be the fourth and final franchise of the movie series. You will enjoy the movie because it’s on 3D, or it can disappoints you for wasting your money for this movie.
The story kicks out from a guy who is seeing visions that there will be a huge crash on the racetrack. They survived because of him (Nick; played by Bobby Campo), and then afterwards the survivors started to die one by one until they reach their Final Destination.
The Visuals (3D Effect) 5/5
Good thing they put this movie on 3D, full effects. Awesome graphics, awesome effects. You will feel that you’re in that same situations as the actors. Blood will pop out on the screen, more gore will be seen and will jump out on your face. You will be experiencing crushing, slicing, burning, impaling and decapitation and some pop-out-of-your face 3D effect. Very good idea, it’s nice that they made it 3D. But this 3D gimmick was originally planned for Final Destination 3.
The Story 2/5
Too bad the movie lack of originality. It’s more like Final Destination 3: The Second Death, more like that. The story disappointed me though, because more likely, it has no originality than the past 3 movies. But if this is your first time to watch a Final Destination movie, then you will get excited to the other 3.
The Actors 3/5
The actors are the most important characters in a movie. In this movie, Bobby Campo and Shantel VanSanten made a great job for this movie. They gave their best, their shots. Nick Zano made this movie great too, without them the movie will sucks, big time. But the script can make you laugh.
The Death Scenes 5/5
Final Destination will be useless if there’s no any death scenes in the movie. Here’s the awesome part of this movie. New bizarre and gruesome deaths will freak you out. Especially when you watch this movie on 3D, you will be amazed by the amazing effects they put on this movie. The death scenes on this movie are way more awesome than the other death scenes from the past 3 movies. The race track, the pool scene and the escalator scene was a kick ***. and that girl who gets her head popped out by a flying tire. That’s gross but cool death scenes.
The racetrack scene was the main accident in this movie, tires and engine will impale people. Car crashes, and the whole stadium is destroyed. This is the part were you will enjoy the 3D.
The pool scene, Hunt (Nick Zano) this was my favorite part of the movie wherein his intestines got sucked by the pool – Spoiler. Highlight if you want to know.
Lastly, that escalator scene, wherein that girl is sucked by the escalator This is the best and the most memorable death scenes of the movie.
You will enjoy the movie if you’re a hardcore fan of the movie series. But I admit it, I enjoyed the movie myself. This movie gave us two mega massacres. The racetrack scene and the other one is at the ending. But it’s so sad that they showed all the death scenes on the trailer, and that will take away the thrill of the audiences. A very good movie.
If you will watch this movie, better watch it on 3D. Because you know, you might waste your 1 hour and a half of your life in theaters. Overall, this movie will be the bang. But unfortunately, I think this is the last installment of the Final Destination series. So, better not to miss this.
I give this movie a 3.5/5 Fair enough.
I feel this movie was a rip off. They charge $3 extra for 3D but I would have rather seen it in regular screen. The 3D part was a total disappointment, most of the effects were in the back ground and very few things seemed to come out at you. I do not recommend seeing it in 3D. I gave it 2 stars only because the idea of the movie was good, I wish I could get a refund, a very expensive mistake.
My Bloody Valentine was a good 3D movie!
Death's coming back for....blah blah blah
The only real reason i went to see this movie was for the crazy 3D deaths they come up with, and that is what i got. Plenty of over the top, everything has to fall in place set ups and sequences that ultimately doom the unlucky few who cheated death the first go around.
Now i really dig the concept that death is coming to finish you off, but these movies are too predictable. Add the predictability factor with all the scenes they gave away in the trailer and absurd amount a tv spots all over and there really wasn't much that surprised me. I think i laughed more than i was in shock or scared.
There are parts that are truly disgusting and scenes that make you not want to go swimming or go on escalators ever again, but besides those the rest of the deaths are to dumb or just so easily forth coming that it becomes comical.
I gave this movie 3 outta 5 stars because the 3D is always cool and some of the deaths were sick and sweet. To bad the fear factor in this fourth installment was almost non existent through out the film.
SEE THIS MOVIE IN 3D NOW OR WAIT TO RENT IT!!!!!!
TIE YOUR SHOES BEFORE YOU RIDE ESCALATORS!!!!!!!
