When a deadly airborne virus threatens to wipe out the northeastern United States, teacher Elliott Moore (Mark Wahlberg) and his wife (Zooey Deschanel) flee from contaminated cities into the countryside in a fight to discover the truth. Is it terrorism, the accidental release of some toxic military bio weapon -- or something even more sinister? John Leguizamo and Betty Buckley co-star in this thriller from writer-director M. Night Shyamalan.
The plants are plotting against humans?? are you serious? the people in Hollywood must have absolutly no ideas left. I mean seriously how is it that Mark Wallburg was not affected. Since he is the main character he is automatically no affected. That is completely stupid. This movie is honestly the worst movie I have ever seen in my life and I would not recomend anyone watch it for fear of becoming increasingly stupid. Anyone that thinks this movie was good has obviously had their brains washed by the movie. In summary it was horrible!
I thought this movie was great because it has alot of deatail in it the writter did a very good job in writening this movie. This movie made me really think about how easily people could really die.I also liked this movie because its realy exciting and a very great thriller from Mister M.
From the opening moments of people falling off rooftops to Wahlberg's conversation with a plant, there is not a moment to be believed. It seems to be an environmentalist statement, yet none of the characters was worth caring about. Ranks as one of the oddest "serious dramas" ever, and sadly, one of the worst.
This movie has so many flaws to it that its just not even worth trying to figure out. I mean, for starters, this movie is just a big montage of people killing themselves, and really, if anyone thinks that that is what a great movie is made of, just go break your tv with a bat. Second, at one point in the movie, the people are running through a field, and their is a girl with red hair going alon g with them, but in the next scene, when they find a house, she just dissapears without any explanation. I mean, this movie was made souly for people who like to watch movies about mindless violence and no storyline whatsoever.
The last movie I saw of his was The village and that was disappointing but the description of this movie intrigued me so I rented it. Like Sixth Sense and signs, this one was very well done. The premise of what was happening in the world didn't make much sense but it wasn't supposed to. The movie was about how people were dealing with something that didn't make sense and how and what they would do to survive. I enjoyed this movie, and thought it was very well done.
