Nicholas Garrigan (a young, Scottish doctor) decides it is time for an adventure after he finishes his formal education. He decides to try his luck in Uganda. He arrives during the downfall of president Obote. General Idi Amin comes to power and asks him to become his personal doctor. When will Nicholas realise Amin is not the friend of the nation, but a brutal dictator?

Forest Whitaker plays the part of Idi Amin during his regime in Uganda. James McAvoy plays the part of a young doctor from Scotland who gets sucked right into the middle of a political nightmare when accepting a position as Amin's personal physician. Both actors as well as others gave an awesome performance. Some parts were very unsettling because of the brutality but otherwise this was excellent and very worth the time to watch- Glad to live in the U.S.!
