You don't believe in ghosts? do you?
So is the question brought upon the main character in this movie after he inherits his aunt's old house. Though he never really knew his aunt, for some reason she left him the house when she passed and he really doesn't give a hoot because he just wants to sell it. As he first arrives at the home, he begins to here warnings from locals that something evil is in the house and that he should not stay there. Shrugging off these warnings being the SKEPTIC that he is, he stays in the house for the time being as he and his wife are having some time apart. Soon enough, the man begins to hear voices at night and eventually starts to see things that shouldn't be there...struggling to find logical meaning for what is happening the man slowly discovers the dark secret of the house and soon faces very real possibilities that once were impossible to believe.
This movie isn't that long, but it hits where it needs to and wraps itself up nicely. It is also not overly jammed full of shocks and boo's that typically ruin most horror movies. Just a very sound horror film that makes you question your own believes about the paranormal.
I gave The Skeptic 4 outta 5 stars. The story was fine but nothing ground breaking. A fine little horror movie.
