Hoping to alter the events of the past, a 19th century inventor instead travels 800,000 years into the future, where he finds humankind divided into two warring races.
I am disappointed by this movie. It wasn't bad but there were so many better routes that the storyline could have taken to make it a much better movie but instead they go towards something that just doesn't fit with the rest of the film. The first thing that doesn't fit is that they don't show him at all inventing the time machine. He just one day has it and it works great. Kind of lame of them to skip one of the most important aspects of the movie. The sole reason that he invented the time machine was to stop his fiancee from dieing. He goes back in time and prevents her from dieing that time but she ends up dieing anyways. Because of this he automatically assumes that there is no way to change the fact that she is going to die on that night. Any reasonable person would have to have it happen at least three times or it would be viewed as a coincidence. After that he pretty much gives up on her and he goes into the distant future about 800,000 years into the future to be exact. Maybe if he would have went to the year 8,000 it would have been a little more understandable but they just went way too overboard with that one. Once he does that this pretty much turns into a new but less interesting movie. If you can watch for free then I suggest this one. 5.5/10
