Now I put this film as a drama but it is truly a true life depiction of the events surrounding United 93 on that unforgettable day.
I just recently watched this film and it is an amazing film. It was not too early to make this film because as the film is progressing you realize that it is made in the present tense even though the event happened in 2001. The director shows us only what the people in the story know and that is it. The film for those who may not know is about United 93 which is the flight that was crashed down by the passengers trying to take back the plane from the hijackers. The film is great because you know absolutely nothing about any body except for what any one would know at the point of the film. You are treated as if you are the people who are finding out that something is going on only when they do. The film switches back between the passengers on the plane, the National Air Traffic Control Center, airport towers, regional air traffic stations, and a military command room and while you are watching you are pulled in like if you are in those rooms as either workers or passengers. The film doesn't speculate Al Queda or Bin Laden because you are to never even now that there is anything happening in the future because of the fact that it is shown to you in present tense. The film is remarkable and heart wrenching to watch and it is not recommended for those who can't even think about the events surrounding September 11th. I was born in New York and lived there for several years and looking at those towers were a way of comfort, I can't explain why but it just was and watching this film hit me emotionally and I began to cry. I began to cry when they show you the second plane crashing into the other building. This film is unmissable for those that can find themselves able to sit through it because it is as accurate about the events as it could be and never sways off of the course it is supposed to be on not even for second.
