Honestly, this was a very good movie! there was some up and downs to what i expected but throughout the movie, all in all fell into place. It was a awesome story line and had some good graphics even for being animated (atleast on blu-ray) In the end, it is worth the watch! had some good laughs! =)

Decent, But Not The Best.

Disney/Pixar's latest movie, 'Up' is based on an elderly man named Carl Frederickson who, upon his passed wife's wish, goes on an incredible journey to Paradise Falls.

The movie begins with a newsreel explaining all the events that are important in the film, and then you see Carl Frederickson as a child. He meets a Tomboy named Ellie, and then the film shows, in less that 3 minutes, how Carl and Ellie grow up, get married, and live a happy life together. Ellie's lifetime wish was to move to Paradise Falls, but just as they save enough money to go there, Ellie passes away and Carl becomes a cranky, old man. One day, a boy named Russel comes to help Mr. Frederickson for his "Assisting the elderly" badge, however, Carl sends him on a Snipe chase. Later that day, Carl is forced to leave his home and go to a retirement center, but Carl refuses. The next day, two men arrive to drive Carl to the elderly home, but Carl inflates hundreds of balloons and flies off, bound for paradise falls. Carl finds Russel stowed away under his porch where he claimed to have found the Snipe. After a long time of flight, Carl and Russel crash land across the gorge from paradise falls. Russel encounters a rare bird, and the bird (Named Kevin) follows them. Carl and Russel meet a dog named Dug who, with his collar, is able to speak. More talking dogs discover the humans' position and capture them. Carl, Kevin, Russel, and Dug are then taken as prisoners to the 'Spirit of Adventure', Charles Muntz's Airship. Charles isn't the nice man Carl thought he was, and he begins to try and kill them. Carl and Russel flee on Kevin's back, and try to escape with him, but in the process Kevin is captured and Carl's house (Which was being carried by Russel and Carl)is nearly burned by Muntz. Carl and Russel then go back to Paradise falls, and Carl realizes it isn't as good as he thought it would be, so he sets off to save Kevin and Russel (Who took off and tried to save Kevin.) Russel arrives first, and is captured by the dogs, and Carl arrives to save Russel's life. Carl breaks into the Airship and distracts the dogs and attempts to flee with Kevin, but Muntz attempts to kill Carl with his rifle. As this is happening, Russel is hanging by a hose beneath Carl's house with Dog-Piloted Biplanes engaging him in a dogfight. Russel gets out, and tries to save Carl from Muntz on top of the airship. Russel lands, but, in order to save Russel, Dug, and Kevin, Carl needed to sacrifice his house. Muntz falls off of the Airship to his death and the 'Spirit of Adventure' belongs to them. Later it is shown that Carl's house, empty, lands at Paradise Falls, fulfilling Ellie's dream.

I thought this was a good movie. Not what i expected but I liked it. The beggining gave me some laughs. The story line was good and it was sweet. The only thing I didnt like was the talking dogs. I did like the reason they could talk though but the dogs kind of just ruined it for me but i still enjoyed it. I think this movie is definatley worth a watch
