If you have watched the suspenseful thriller, “Vantage Pointâ€Â, you will know that it was an interesting twist to the usual cliché Hollywood action films. The director, Pete Travis, introduced the viewers to a new style of watching movies. Instead of the usual one main character that we follow throughout the movie, he uses the six different perspectives of six different characters that are witnessing the same events. It is very interesting and vigorous how from each different perspective, we find out some other pieces of the puzzle. It is appealing to see how the story unfolded and kept you on the edge of your seat the whole time. It is nice to know that I don’t have to already know the ending of the movie just by watching the previews, because this keeps you guessing until the very end. This was an original film that was not only action, but there was a little bit of romance and mystery as well. With the help of some top actors such as Dennis Quaid and Forest Whitaker, first-time feature director Pete Travis deserves applause for his impressive work.
Since I’m not much of an acton movie person, I wasn’t exactly thrilled when it was announced that we would be watching the movie “Vantage Point†in English class. Those of you who have seen this movie know that the movie’s plot is an exciting mix of extreme action scenes, multiple points of view and surprising twists. This action flick comes with a price however; you won’t get much out of “Vantage Point†by staring at the screen with your mouth half-open. If you haven’t seen the movie, the simple structure of the story allows the audience the ability to spend less time figuring out the story, in exchange for the burden of keeping the movie’s ten-plus points of view straight. It may seem like more work than you’d like to put in to such a simple task as watching a movie, but after the first ten minutes of the movie you’ll be hooked and paying attention with ease. By putting a little effort in to paying attention to detail and remembering characters, you’ll thank yourself when the tidal wave of ending scenes brings all the characters’ points of view together for a shocking outcome.

The action packed “Vantage Point†is one of the most exhilarating and suspenseful films I have seen in a while. How many times have you heard several different explanations over one single event that has occurred and didn’t know which one was most accurate?
Vantage Point takes place at an anti-terrorism conference in Salamanca, Spain. The president of the United States is giving a speech at the rally, with body guards at his side, when supposedly he is shot from a distance…or was he?
The movie was made to show the unfolding of the terrorist attack from several different characters point of view. Starting with the news crew covering the event to the terrorists themselves who planned the attack, each point of view reveals new information about the incident putting all of the pieces to the big picture together.
Starring Dennis Quaid, William Hurt, Matthew Fox, Forest Whitaker and many more outstanding actors, “Vantage Point†is an exciting action packed film that we kill you on your toes. From lots of gunfire and explosions to high speed car chases, “Vantage Point†won’t leave you unsatisfied.
If you are looking for a exciting movie full of twists, action, and a sophisticated plot. Than Vantage Point is a must see. The Movie shows a different point of view from at least 4 different characters regarding the President Of the United States. It's a little hard for me to explain the movie, but to say the least I found it extremely entertaining, and I would sum it up as one of those movies where you can't remember a boring part. Also i would say you could probably watch this movie with the family I wouldn't say anyone under 12 years old. Not because it us vulgar but because it's pretty complex. I really enjoyed it and highly reccomend it.
As I began to watch this movie I thought it was going to be a simple action movie with a simple plot and no character development especially since the run time for this movie is only 90 minutes. I was wrong. The story shows you the same scenario over and over several times but how it gets to that is changed based on which character's vantage point and how that person got into that situation. Eventhough the movie is short you still get to understand the characters and why they did what they did. The action scenes are intense and the fast telling of the events makes it all of a more intense movie experience. As the plot unfolds you are at the edge of your seat wondering whats going to happen next. I was really surprised at how this turned out and if you are a fan of action/suspense then you are in for an entertaining time.
