Capitol Policeman John Cale has just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service of protecting President James Sawyer. Not wanting to let down his little girl with the news, he takes her on a tour of the White House, when the complex is overtaken by a heavily armed paramilitary group. Now, with the nation's government falling into chaos and time running out, it's up to Cale to save the president, his daughter, and the country.

If you have any...ANY...shred of decency as a human being with a brain that is NOT cognitively impaired, you will avoid this movie at all costs. Outside of it's juvenile, overt, politically biased dialogue which permeates this vomit, it was filled with scene after scene of pure cinematic stupidity. Out of sheer boredom and laziness, we chose to rent this movie for $1.20...and thankfully ONLY $1.20. The scenes were not just typically unrealistic...they were AWKWARDLY unrealistic.
If you have watched this movie and would rate it any more than 1 star...YOU are the problem with this country. Morons...I salute you for achieving a new low in human judgment.
Having seen the movie Olympus Has Fallen previously I expected something very similar and I got what was expected. The casting and acting was better in Olympus. Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum were poor cast choices in this movie. Neither were believable in their roles. Foxx was a bad choice to have as president of the United States. Tatum just wasn't believable as a former veteran bad ass who is solely responsible for taking back the White House from a building full of terrorist with rocket launchers and machine guns. Maggie Gyllenhaal should take some acting lessons. She definitely doesn't have the acting talent that her brother Jake has. By far the worst character in this movie was Joey King who play Tatum's daughter. Almost 100% of her dialogue could have been left out of the movie because everything that she said was just the most asinine thing that you have ever heard. They should have just axed her character from the beginning. If I want to watch a White House being taken over movie and I have a choice I would go with watching Olympus Has Fallen. 6/10
Timing is everything. And it happened to be bad timing for this movie, coming out the same time as Olympus has fallen which was the far superior movie. Overall it was a decent movie with a good cast, but it was kind of confusing to decide whether it was intended as an action movie or a comedy. There's just something about Channing Tatum that I can never take him seriously as an actor. The bright spot in the film, believe it or not, was the little girl portraying Channing Tatum's daughter. I'm giving this movie three stars, but if it came down between renting this film or Olympus has fallen, this film would lose every time.
