They went way over-board on this movie. I saw the first 2 movies, and they were okay, i mean the first one was good, the second one was okay, but this way over the top. It was incredibly disgusting and sick! I like wierd and gorey movies, but this one goes way, way to far. It is extrememly gorey and graphic. And the story line isn't really any different that the first two movies. So, i suggest DO NOT go see this movie, unless you want to be sick for days afterward, like I was!

yeah it seems most movies like this that come out where if there's a sequel, its almost just like the first
I think that this movie was really good because I love horror movies and I have seen I and II but III is tops it all. And still think that It will be a saw IV.
I LOVE horror movies. I have been a horror movie fan since I was like 7 or 8 but this movie was nasty! It was not scary at all. I would not pay to see it again or waste my money renting it when it comes out. I don't think I will even bother wasting my time watching it on tv. NASTY!
I was a fan of the first saw then when the second one came out it wasn't as good. I am glad that they put the suspense that i felt watching the first movie into this one it keeps you guessing until the very end it was great.
This was the best horror movie of 2006. It had some suspense. Of course it was gory, I really do not care, it was still a really good movie. It had some bone chilling sound effects, and gruesome death scenes, but that's Saw for you. The DVD version is even better, you even see a bone pop out. Plus, the ending was the best sense Halloween 4.

i dont think it was that gory, atleast not as much as people make it seem, ive seen much much gorier films.
oh and as for that SAW IV rumor there wont be one...james wan and leigh whennal said they inted for SAW to be a trilogy...that means three! they dont intend to write another SAW film, nor do they intend to sell the rights so someone else can make a SAW IV. besides in the ENDING to SAW 3 john and amand both died! hello, how would there be a forth!?
yeah youre totally right, i hated this movie!! why WHY?!?! wouldn't somebody at least throw a plot into this sh*t-storm!!!!
I'm going to go ahead and say it: Anyone who likes this movie needs to have their head examined. If the best reasons that you can come up with for this being a good movie is some moronic, insipid commentary like, "this movie rocked because you could hear bones snapping and people screaming and the death scenes were gruesome," "I just like horror movies," etc., you're a freaking [profanity removed] .
I like a good scare flick as much as anybody. Did you catch that? *Scare* flick. Not bloodfest. There's nothing scary about vats of fake blood.
The first movie was a valid attempt at an original concept, but after that, forget it.
Note to James Wan and Leigh Whannell: You have no talent. You're both braindead, wannabe, directors. You both deserve to be sodomized with white-hot soldering irons. Long before you die, Hollywood will have forgotten all about you. I hope you end up working for the rest of your miserable lives flipping burgers.
I was actually seething with anger that shmucks like these two actually sit around squeezing two brain cells together in an attempt to think of the most gruesome way to die.
