Have you only recently seen Hostel? This review is for Hostel correct? Not Hostel 2? If so, I also did not find this movie scary, so much as it was terrifying. Imagine being restrained while some maniac has his way with you like you're some frog in biology class! That is a terrifying thought and Eli Roth knows this, which speaks for the brilliance of his work.

This film does what it sets out to do. Gross out. It doesn't appear to have many other redeeming qualities. The excessive sexuality and nudity just serves to further exemplify what audience the director is pandering to. If the protagonists followed their brains rather than their appendages, they wouldn't have found themselves in such a situation.
