I really enjoyed this movie based on it's own merit. It's a great combination of horror and sci / fi. Will Smith once again nails his part and continues to prove what a great actor he is.
The only thing keeping me from giving this movie a 5 star review is the fact that it is so different from the book. Thats not always a bad thing but in this case the movie strayed so far from the book that it really loses the meaning of why the book was titled "I Am Legend".
Another thing that was a let down was the tortured psyche that Neville has in the book is only glimpsed at in the movie. We only see the calm and collected Neville with a sense of purpose, except for a couple of scenes. In the book Neville was always on the verge of giving up, of just wanting everything to be over. He continues on with his life but the book shows more of how much of a struggle it is for him.
To rap it up, great movie, I'll be buying it when it comes out, but i really do hope that have an alternate ending added that follows the book.

it was... odd.
It's an updated look at The Omega Man!! I mean Will Smith was awsome, but the infected were the worst cgi [profanity removed] I've ever seen.
