BORAT - THE WORST MOVIE IN CINEMA HISTORY

This movie should not get any ratings at all!!!!!!!!IT IS ROTTEN!!!!!!!!!!!
To all parents: If you really care about your children then please please spare them from this movie which will only bring mental damage to them. (On the day I went to see the movie about 90% of teenagers and young adults attended this movie).

The movie is absolutely inhumane, extremely offensive towards believes of any kind, disgusting, overall: sick to the highest degree possible. And the saddest part is that with this movie the makers prove themselves to be idiots in the highest rank, and should be banned from the movie industry FOREVER!!!!!
The fact that this movie was allowed to come out in the theatre is the worst of all. And I absolutely despise the coward who came up with this absolutely idiotic idea.

Considering that Americans are already sitting in a s**t hole(pardon me for that language)as it is, they should think about proper education of their children instead of providing their nation with such idiotic movie productions.

I am extremely shocked by what is happening to North Americans (and not only). Where have their leaders gone wrong to raise such a primitive nation that would allow such films to be filmed and produced.....these people should be shot.....because they put the rest of the nation into a big pest whole.

In conclusion....If you really enjoy watching gay sex, naked fat men wrestling, feces revealed publicly, inappropriate showings of male genital areas, and women's breast milk to be turned into "Kazakh cheese"....go ahead and watch the movie and kill your braincells!!!!!

With this movie review I hope I made myself clear!
PS. I am still terrified that I have paid $8 to see this movie....my brain still hurts.

I completely disagree with your critique of this movie. I saw it and it was the best $8 that I have spent this year.

And by the way when you said "The movie is absolutely inhumane, extremely offensive towards believes of any kind" you spelled beliefs wrong.

And, " I am still terrified that I have paid $8 to see this movie....my brain still hurts." you can remove the "have" that you placed before payed.

In conclusion, this was the best movie I have seen all year. I laughed so hard that I fell out of my seat multiple times.

Parents - If you have teenagers, please let them go see this movie so that they won't be left out on one of the best comedies ever!

Dear bigsxync,
First. Thank you for the comment, although I don't agree with you at all.
Secondly. You might not know that the full story of this fake reportage had not only humiliated Kazakhstan, but also the participants of this movie who were majorly triked.
You might think to be informed about the world now that you have seen the movie and learned a couple of facts such as: there is a country that even exists on a map by the name of Kazakhstan (which borders to Uzbekistan)...and so on. But here is some stinkin' reality for you that might beef up your EMPTY brain...aka "some food for thought" (no offence).
Now that I know that you are a pretty smart person who goes to the movies to learn about life, and I bet you even read the newspapers everyday to find out what is going on in the world today....or maybe not.
Here read and learn about the real guy you think is worth giving your $8 bucks to:

Poor Romanian villagers not amused by 'Borat' success at their expense

Published: Tuesday, November 14, 2006 | 4:30 PM ET
Canadian Press: WILLIAM J. KOLE

GLOD, Romania (AP) - The name of this remote Romanian village means "mud," and that's exactly what angry locals are throwing back at comedian Sacha Baron Cohen.

Cohen used Glod's Gypsies as stand-ins for Kazakhs in his runaway hit movie, "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan." Now offended villagers are threatening to sue the film's producers for paying them a pittance to put farm animals in their homes and perform other crude antics.

Residents and local officials in the scruffy hamlet 140 kilometres northwest of Bucharest said Tuesday they were horrified and humiliated to learn their abject poverty and simple ways are ridiculed in a movie, which has raked in $67 million at box offices in the United States alone in just two weeks.

"We thought they came here to help us - not mock us," said Dana Luca, 40, sweeping a manure-stained street lined with shabby

homes of crumbling brick and corrugated iron sheeting.

"We haven't got anything here. We haven't got running water. We can't even bathe," she said. "We are poor people, but we are still people."

Nicolae Staicu, leader of the 1,670 Gypsies, or Roma, who eke out a living in one of the most impoverished corners of Romania, said he and other officials would meet with a public ombudsman on Wednesday to map out a legal strategy against Cohen and "Borat" distributor 20th Century Fox. The film's opening sequence showing Borat's hometown in Kazakhstan is shot in Glod.

Staicu accused the producers of paying locals just US$3.30 to $5.50, misleading the village into thinking the movie would be a documentary, refusing to sign proper filming contracts and enticing easily exploited peasants into performing crass acts.

Only five villagers have jobs at a nearby sanatorium and a stone quarry, Staicu said. The rest weave baskets, grow apples, pears and plums, gather mushrooms in the dense Carpathian Mountain forests rising above the town, or raise a few scrawny chickens.

With no gas heating or indoor plumbing, most keep warm with wood stoves and drink from wells. Horse-drawn carts far outnumber automobiles on unpaved, badly potholed roads, and mangy stray dogs growl and snap at strangers.

Acrid fires smoulder in trash piled up on the outskirts of the village, and children - their clothing worn and torn - play in yards littered with stumps, s [profanity removed] metal and other bric-a-brac.

"These people are poor and they were tricked by people more intelligent than us," he said.

Neither Cohen's agent in London nor 20th Century Fox's offices in Los Angeles immediately returned phone messages Tuesday from The Associated Press.

The mood in Glod, meanwhile, was tense and volatile, with crowds of angry, shouting villagers repeatedly gathering around reporters.

Continued....
One man was seen slapping his sister, who had appeared in the film, and slamming the gate to his ramshackle home shut to keep her from being interviewed. At another point, a resident threatened news photographers with a stick, and another pelted their car with rocks.

People in the former Soviet republic of Kazakhstan also have decried how they are depicted in the film. Cohen's character is a Kazakh TV journalist on an adventure across America.

Two members of a fraternity at a South Carolina university who appear making drunken, insulting comments about women and minorities also are suing 20th Century Fox and three production companies, claiming the crew got them drunk in a bar before filming and told them the movie would not be shown in the United States.

Not everyone in Glod is upset. Sorina Luca, 25, excitedly described how she was given $3.30 to bring a pig into her home and let the producers put a toy rifle into the hands of her five-year-old daughter for one scene.

"I really liked it," she said. "We are poor and miserable. Nothing ever happens here."

Oh I forgot to add one last thing:
Thanks for pointing out my grammar mistakes, it was very smart of you. Consider a career as a teacher!
Yeah I might have made a few mistakes here and there, but oh well. After all English is far from being my first language.
Like one smart girl once said, after being humiliated that she is fat: "Yeah I might be fat but so what...I can get rid of these few pounds...but I feel bad for you and your ugly face...because you definitely can't get rid of that."

Cheers.

You are an ignorant moron. I don't even want to waste my time in responding to your completely ridiculous review, however what you fail to understand is that Borat is not a movie that children to watch, and probably not a movie for ignorant viewers such as yourself who have no idea what political irony is.

The movie perfectly documents the ignorance and racial plague that is still very much present in the United States - that's the point of the movie. It is not designed for children who would obviously not understand the deeper meaning. It is not designed for people like you, se_lina, because you're ignorant and you have no concept of what it means to use irony and savagery to express a political message. You're a moron.

se_lina, I suggest you read the article on "Borat" in the rolling stone magazine. You might find some answers there.

I feel sorry for you actually, because you're probably one of those sad individuals who can only see a movie for it's pure aesthetic and entertainment pleasure. If you take a serious look at what is being said in this film, you will see that the racial irony has a double meaning. The movie perfectly documents the horrific prejudism that is plaguing America today. Unfortunately we are citizens of this country, and instead of taking a slam at the movie Borat, we should look at our citizens in this film. Isn't it saddening to see that there are people out there who want to burn jews and hang homosexuals? Isn't it sad to see a few thousand people cheering as Borat exclaims that the U.S should "flatten Iraq and destroy every last arab in this world" ??

I loved 'Borat'. I thought it was hillarious.
Se_lina,
You said "If you really enjoy watching gay sex, naked fat men wrestling, feces revealed publicly, inappropriate showings of male genital areas, and women's breast milk to be turned into "Kazakh cheese"....go ahead and watch the movie and kill your braincells!!!!!"
You said naked fat men wrestling, there was only one. You're a complete idiot.

First of all children are not supposed to see this movie, and if youtake your child that is at your discretion. This is a movie that makes fun of bigots, not laugh at the poor people, secondly you do not see any s***t at all, or breast milk, obviously you are ignorant or not intelligent enought to get this movie. The movie makes fun of how this nation is bigoted.

I haven't seen it, but I agree. Right when I heard it shows him naked, I though, "holy [profanity removed] , this must be stupid." Only homo-sexuals would laugh at nude men fighting. what's wrong with everyone? I'm twelve, and I'm starting to think kids are becoming more mature than adults.
I agree with this review 100%

The thing that scares me is that you saw the previews for it and still saw it. How dumb can you be to go into a movie of that nature and not expect it to be what it was marketed as? The "R" rating takes care of children seeing it except when they have dumb parents. Which as horrible as it is to say, the apple usually doesn't fall far from the tree. Borat was a funny political satire that pokes fun at how much the people of this country don't realize how good they have it, how stupid most people are, and how stereotypes are one of the most outrageous things in our society. So the next time you feel like seeing a movie please check the rating, don't take your kids, check the reviews and previews, and realize that not everything is so offensive when you keep and open mind.

I'm sorry for the previous comment. It hurts me deeply to know that I made such a huge GRAMMAR mistake. "Thing" should be "things" and "you" should be "your". For those who know me, again I apologize for these simple errors. Se_lina go Fuck yourself!!!!!!

all the people pointing out the grammar and spelling mistakes aren't witty at all. I know that's what you're trying to appear as. "an ass for a face"? *groans* I can't stand the $hitty insults (if you can call 'em that).

A lot of your points are valid. But I still enjoyed the movie. To me, I feel that it was one of those movies where you have to be able to look at things froma different perspective to be able to truly enjoy it (step out of the norm).

There's actually a video I stumbled upon that made me chuckle for this very reason.

Feel free to check it out. I thought it was pretty clever --if not weird :)

wow, ok, Mason.....you need to shut the [profanity removed] up, of course some stupid twelve year old would say "only homosexuals would laugh at fat men wrestling" wow, you know what, im gay, though it was disgusting, but it was pretty funny at that. The whole point of this movie is to get shock value from rediculus scenes like that. When you went in to watch it you must have had an idea what you where in for, people like you need to be put in woodchippers.
