"Click" - another stinker from Adam Sandler!

What's up with Adam Sandler!? I can't remember the last time he made a good movie. I didn't want to shell out the bucks to see "Click" at the theater, so I waited until it came out on DVD...and guess what!...it was still a waste of my money. Too bad I can't ask for a refund.
You know what they say, there are no original ideas left in Hollywood and "Click" proves it. "Click" feels like a rehash of the classic "It's A Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart. Adam Sandler is previewed his life if he had made different decisions. Don't get me wrong, there are about two funny scenes in my opinion. Everything else is the same old Adam Sandler...yelling / screaming / fart jokes...which are getting real old.
Hollywood wonders why revenue is going down. It's because of movies like "Click." Re-visioning of older movies isn't going to cut it.

Almost all movies are a rehash of classics, this one in my opinion is good one though.
I can't remember any Adam Sandler movie that was good but then again, I'm not a 13 year old boy.....
I don't even have to see this one to know that there are farts, burps and other bodily sounds involved:)
This movie is ok. Worth watching, but not as good as Billy Madison or Happy Gilmore.
Adam Sandler is by far the best comedian since Richard Pryor. Would
recommend this movie to all my friends.
Cant wait for his next hit movie.
"Adam Sandler comedian since Richard Pryor."
You and Richard Pryor had something in common...you both must have been on crack!
Click wasn't a bad movie by any means. I liked the special effects, the part of his life lived in the future (giving us a glimpse of some of the technology by then) and so forth. I also thought the emotional scenes were actually pretty well done - for example, the part where his dad (played by Henry Fonda) says, "I love you, Son" and walks away after having been ignored by Sandler's character for years. I thought it was actually pretty touching...it reminded me to spend time with my own dad while he is still around. The movie at large reminded me not to lose sight of what's important, even if that particular lesson seems cliched by now to some.
My only criticism of this film is the same one that I leveled at "Pleasantville," "The Family Stone" and "Mrs Doubtfire"...PICK A GENRE AND STICK WITH IT FOR THE DURATION OF THE MOVIE! I hate it when movies advertise themselves as comedies (Sandler moving the kid's arm so he gets hit with the baseball, etc), start out as comedies....then, later in the movie, get sad and depressing and touchy-feely. For some reason, when films like this are being promoted prior to release, the commercial only shows the funny parts, never the sad ones that come in the later part of the film. Why? Does the producer have something to hide from us when he's trying to sell us his movie?
I don't object to movies that fall into this touchy-feely category per se, but I hate finding myself watching one when I started the DVD (or sat down in the theater) expecting to spend the entire film laughing. Either be a "serious" film or be a comedy, but don't try to do both in one movie. Enough already.
Click was an AWESOME movie i don't know what movie ur talking bout but it isn't click!
I myself liked click at the beggining but when it got into the future stuff it makes you wonder if your really watching an adam sandler comody or not.
Some of you must of been a little drunk when you last wrote this. Click is great and so is Adam Sandler.
Lets face it the movie was OK but Kate Beckinsale was very HOT, so I didn't mind paying to see it.
I personally thought this would be a good movie. I went and saw it for my 10th birthday and i cried then next thing I kno it was fake I was sooo PISSED! I now wish i saw another movie.
I agree with you in some ways about the rehash of "It's a Wonderful Life". It does seem to be kind of similar in storyline. But "It's a Wonderful Life" is an automatic classic and nothing will ever change that. "Click's" main device here is the universal remote control, and i'm not sure if that's ever been in a movie or not...? Anywho, it's a fun idea. It's intentionally supposed to be a fun movie for the family. Unfortunately, they had to put some bad fart jokes in their, which was EXTREMELY unneeded because without that, it could have made a nice wholesome movie. i wouldn't give it one star, i would give it three. It had a good idea, and a nice story behind it. How can you not admit that the ending made you shed a few tears? It did me!
It deserves 3 stars from me.
But i wouldn't COMPLETELY trash Adam Sandler's work as an actor. Have you seen the film "Reign Over Me"? He was great in that!
