The Mist

The Mist basically followed closley to the book written by the famous Steven King. How it opened after a huge storm that caused the main character to have to bring his son and neighbor to a supermarket. But right before he goes, he and his wife notices a very strange sort of fog or "Mist" that was slowly drifting over the lake that was located right in front of their house.
So he goes to the market and after what feels like a earthquake, the horror starts. idmitially a side character is killed. What dissapointed me was that the gore in this movie was totally fake. You get introduced to all these creatures throughout the film, and finnaly in the last 30 to 40 minutes is when you should know all of them.
Also, the wierd lady that kept going on about god probably angered some people because it is against their religion.
It was sad when the protaginist arrived at home to find his wife dead after getting killed by the spider creatures.
What dissapointed me was that he ended up killing all of the characters in the car that he was in to try to escape the mist. He shot the old man and lady, his girlfriend and son. That was not in the book so it disturbed me that they had to get him to kill his own son. Then, he gets out of the car and tries to get the creatures to kill him, only to find that rescue was only a few minutes away.
Overall, I thought it was kind of a maybe movie, with a few good parts in it here in there, but it wasn't the ending everyone wanted.

great movie, great ending, its not for the weak of mind who want happily ever after endings, if you cant stand a movie that would be along the lines of more of a realism approach to an ending, (where the family is offed) then go watch bananas in pajamas. however if your not a narrow minded [profanity removed] and can appreciate a dark ending, then this movie is totally it :)
I don't agree with you. The whole theater was dissapointed with the ending.
well your obviously the kind of dumb person that watches to many disney films and WOULD expect something good to come out of a crappy situation like that. grow up, life isnt about happy endings, someone always gets screwed unfortunatley. go watch sex and the city or something, you shouldnt be reviewing this, and ur theatre is full of idiots too lol, if stephen king HIMSELF agreed to this ending, then its a good ending. period. =)
Loved the movie. Loved it. The ENDING was GREAT! I laughed and laughed, but I'm a sick puppy. All sick puppy's will understand.
Teddygrl06 - What are you talking about? This is a DVD only release only through BlockBuster. The whole theater couldn't be disappointed, since it wasn't in theaters.
well i thought the gore was realistic and i loved the beggining except for the ending i dont reccomend anyone to see it. it was a dissapointment. and it was in theaters teddygrl06! my best friends parents went and saw it while we saw a different movie.
I thought it was a very peculiar movie, with a very good plot, but in the end I set a lot in the characters and if you look carefully, we realize that the behaviour of some of the characters is to some people in real life moments despair, in circumstances of fear or fear without realizing we cling to things that we do not help. Some are struggling to finish only other win but left after the worst fighting so much for something, in this case for life, are left at the end overcome, should not be the case but unfortunately happens in real life.
In conclusion very good film and very good message for filmmakers
