i completely disagree with you. first of all, why the heck are you making that kind of comment about the leading lady? her name is maggie gyllenhall, and so what if you think she's unattractive... she's an actress and the looks should have nothing to do with a review about a movie. she's not the most unattractive lady, she's not that bad looking. second, i agree with you on batman's voice being a little annoying, but have you read the comic books or know any backup history on batman, because he is supposed to sound intimidating and harsh. That's part of his disguise. third, you evidently haven't really seen any of heath ledger's performances in other films. from what i've seen, he is a shy guy but has always given great performances (ex. brokeback mountain was fantastic). his transition from that to this is amazing. in real life he has an accent, so the way that he transformed himself for this role is fantastic. i didn't believe for one second that it was heath ledger in the previews and trailers until i heard about it. that's how great of a job he did. he made the character creepy as hell, but also did it in a very humorous way. many other actors don't have the kind of dedication he had. he scared the [profanity removed] out of me but it was all worth it because i thought he basically WAS this movie. the movie as a whole is not best picture, but it has so many elements in it that are fantastic (ex. die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villian). the excitement buildup was great as well. and did i forget to mention the beginning and end of this movie? great way to begin and end a movie! so im not sure what you were on when you saw this, but you missed out. this movie was unbelievably worth every cent i payed for it and its well above average. i give it 4 1/2 stars.

oh, and heath ledger deserves every award and acclaim imaginable for his portrayal as the joker.

I completely agree with you happygurl this movie was great and there was not a boring element in the film. For WrldsGr8estKssr this film is making 400 million and still going because it is above average. And what is the point of telling us that you think that the leading lady is unattractive it has no relevance to a review for a movie. Its all a matter of opinoin because I happen to know quite a few people who thinks she is beautiful. To mention that is to bring up a conversation not how you want to incorporate that into your review. This movie was really well made and like I said in my review of The Dark Knight Heath deserves recognition for his portrayal of the Joker whether he had died or not. He would have the same rave about him if he was still alive because he did an excellent job making this role his own. Now you not liking the movie is fine because without your support the movie is still going to do fine and keep going strong because of all the other people that enjoyed the film. It is only an opinoin and I expected that someone would end up not liking the film but thats ok because there are plenty more people who share my view of the film and obviously there are alot because its still going strong still ranking in 1st 3 weeks in a row beating out the Mummy 3.
