I went into this film just like every other Bond fan thinking that it was going to be something of a good movie and it was a real let down. I was particularly disappointed because of the fact that this was the first Bond film to be a direct sequel of the one before it. Most Bond movies were just Bond on another mission to stop the world from being dominated while sleeping with the gorgeous women along the way and they tend to be made in a formula style. I had hopes for this one because of the fact that it could have been different but really wasn't.

I really enjoyed Casino Royale because it didn't stick with the typical Bond formula and showed that Bond can be portrayed in a different light while still being suave and bad ass. Then with Quantum of Solace they brought it back to being about action scenes with very little story. The story had a good premise behind it but when you think you were going to get story to help you understand what happened you get thrown into another set of action sequences and don't get me wrong they are entertaining but it leaves no room for anything else to happen other than Bond being put into action scenes. Don't get me wrong I enjoy a good action flick but when you can almost say that there is too much action that's when it is a problem.

Usually in a Bond film you have the beautiful Bond girl do more than almost nothing throughout the film but this one doesn't have a script long enough to be there for any other reason to be there other than being a pretty face. Now getting to the story it is not hard to understand what is going on even though you never get enough time to get a full story setting in. You know whats funny, I think Judi Dench who plays M as a supporting role has more dialogue than Daniel Craig playing Bond the lead.

Daniel Craig is a really good Bond and continues to do well in the role but this time around they really didn't give anything to do than be in action sequences. I think I can understand why Daniel Craig wanted to do his own stunts because if he didn't he wouldn't have been in much of the movie. I wish they would have done it the same as they did in Casino Royale even though the film was directed by Marc Forester instead of Martin Campbell who directed the prior film. The way I see it is that for this film they wanted to make an ction film and in light of that forget to put in a story because the story feels forced in there like it was not in the original plan. If you liked Casino Royale you might like this one but to think that it might be as good or better than Casino Royale you will highly disappointed.
