Dead Silence is pretty scary. It is very bloody & gorey. (Not recommened for little kids.) They ndon't show the tongue getting ripped out. The closest they ever came was when Mary Shaw (ventriliquist), ran by a man and first they showed him screaming, next thing you know he;s got no tongue! They show pictures of the mouthes open and bloody. A lot of dead people show up in pictures. One of the best horrors since "The Shining."
Rainn Wilson finally broke out of The Office and found his calling as The Rocker. Full of witting writing, heartfelt moments and countless fall-out-of-your-seats-laughing scenes, The Rocker breathes life into a genre of film that has become stale with irritatingly identical Will Ferrell movies...
Its seems the whole world has gone ga-ga over this film and for the life of me I dont see why. Its HAS TO BE that one of the stars of the film is dead. It simply has to be! Ive always been one to go against the grain, and here I go again.en pretty much every record a film can break. I thought the story was lame (despite the talk of how its subliminally parelleling the Bush administration... a joke), the voice the Dark Knight spoke in irritated me and the only very good or 'awe' factor in the film was the visual of the Dent charactor. Its amazing what hollywood can do on film.
Lets see.... there was the most unattractive leading lady ever, which for me was another turn off. Not a big fan of Bale as the Caped Crusader but he was ok.ve to comment on Heath Ledger's portrayal of Joker. He was ok also. Might even say good. But all this hype and praise? I think not. Again that had to be cause he's dead. There are a few actors that might play a better Joker than Nicholas... but Ledger isnt one of them.
Overall the film was "C" caliber in my book. Why is it over 400M and still going if its only average? Its Batman for one and people of all kinds will see it... old, young, man, woman... but most importantly.. lots and lots of kids!!
That was my 2 cents.
This was a movie that I had missed in theaters and I am glad I did. This film had a lot of great ideas that make you think but they just couldn't make it work.
The movie is about two regular kids who live in Seattle and there is nothing special about these kids until they find a box in the ocean. They open it up and find several pieces of rock that is unknow origin to them and a stuffed bunny. The kids try to figure out what to do with items and while they were doing this they become smarter and they learn what they are supposed to with the items. While putting some of the items together they cause a blackout that is believed to be done by terrorists. The point of the children finding these items is because a scientist from another planet sent out a numerous amounts of the stuffed animal called Mimzy to find people to help them save their planet from being taken over from darkness that are within them. The Mimzy that the two children find is called the Last Mimzy being the fact that if no one returns that one then the people in the planet will be killed and taken over by evil.
The movie should of been a lot better because of the ideas that they were trying to show the audience but got taken over by typical family moments that make the movie more for kids. If it worked for both audiences(adults and children) then the movie would have been better but it turned into a movie that only little kids ould like with a lot of idea that are beyond their understanding.
If you want to see a movie that is going to give you the urge to break your tv?
Watch this movie.
Material Girls became the fastest film to hit the #1 spot on imdb.com's bottom 100.A list that emphathizes the worst voted movies of all time. The film currently has a 2.7/10 with a 7,564 votes.
Hilary Duff gives you a complete 100% dissapointment in this movie.
The girl has talent and in Material girls it all dissapeared completely.
I'm not sure if it was the acting or the characters.
But they're not relate-able.The sisters fight way too much it makes your head spin. The plot is put in a way that you feel like you've already seen the movie as it goes on.In other words, extremely predictable. They play sisters that are dumb girls that are dumb throughout the movie except until at the very end.when "Hilary's character" tries to act all smart because she solved the case.Which wasn;t vey hard to figure out.
You feel like smothering something after you watch their endless bickering.Which really never stops. You feel like you're in a G movie gone completely bad.
Not worth watching at all.
Sorry if it offended people that enjoyed this movie.
which i doubt anyone did.
Expected more from Hilary. She should've picked a better role. She's still an amazing actress, excluding that horrible nightmare.
Which almost made me change my mind.
What do you think of when that word crosses your mind?
Good food?Gross food?Cheap labor?Cheap animals?Fatning?Disturbing?Amazing?Favorite fast food?Should be shut down?
How about your health?
Well this is kind of what this documentary is about.
Mcdonalds products apparently do harm you more than you think.
The experiment was for a healthy regular american man to eat at Mcdonalds every single day 3 times a day.And each time a Cashier would ask him to Supersize,he would have to say yes.For a MONTH.With no exercise except walking.
So this guy has a camera crew watching him eat and see him go through all the affects it has on him.
well be ready to get schocked.
The man starts to have so many things wrong with him.
Anyways if you are feeling in the a documentary mood which doesn't happen often.
I reccomend this.
In a weird way it does keep you entertained.
All in all,it's put in a way that you can tell is realistic, informative, funny (in some ways),and just interesting.
It'll shock you good.
So here's the thing.
If you've seen mummy 1 and 2 and you loved them,
you might be a little bit dissapointed with the third.
I personally enjoyed it,I laughed all the way through.
But because I had so many inside jokes in that movie from the 2 other previous movies.
Sure it'll make you laugh,
but when I was in the theatre the whole audience wasn't laughing much.Only some individuals.
(Most of them seemed to be adults)
And it's because even though the content is "PG-13" movie.
It feels like your in a little bit too "cheesy" PG movie.
Like in Wildhogs.
It feels like they make their jokes and put the plot in a way that makes you feel like they're kind of trying to dumb it down a little bit for you.
Not everyone may feel the same way about this.
I do have to say that they did have their history in the right place and that they didn't warp with it too much.
They kept the basics on the early part of the great wall.
The only problem I had were 4 things.
1.You can see right through the plot to the very end.
2.The way the sci-fi stuff is thrown at you,it throws you kind off guard.
3.It's not the original wife(Rachel Weisz) from the previous 2 movies.
Which kind of dissapoints you.
And you kind of start to not like the actress(Maria Bello) that replaced her because she is sooo not like the Evelyn O'connel everyone fell in love with.
It kind of actually bothers you for a long portion of the movie.Though I do have to give her credit for doing a good performance. But it's just not the same at all.
4.When you find out that Zi Yuan is immortal,(you kind of already knew)Alex O'connel is like wtf???But looks past it.
And she's like "I can't stand to se you die"
Well anyways you're thinking awww they can't be together.
But then 5 minutes later her mom(who is also immortal)is all like you need to sacrifice your immortality(to defeat the mummy).
All I'm saying is that it got resolved too quickly before it was able to build up the emotion or intensity of it.
To wrap it all up.the movie ended cheesy.A good family cheesy.and it kind of gives you a hint that there is going to be a 4th one in Peru.
But anyways,I would say go see it if you'll past all of this. It's still enjoyable.I wouldn't say it'll be as good as the first two.But deffidently worth seeing what happens. Not worth at the movies, rent it at blockbuster when it comes out.
This is just what I thought.I think many people did enjoy it.But I know most didn't.Which is a shame.
If there is a 4th i'll go see it anyway.
Hope this helped.
This movie didn't make me very interested in seeing when the trailers were all over the t.v. but now that I have seen it I am not disappointed with it at all. This is a great family fantasy to watch with your kids or even if you don't have kids. I was actually quite surprised with it. The film stars Christina Ricci, James McAvoy, Catherine O'Hara and Reese Witherspoon. The performances are much better than I thought they were gonna be and the story is really packed with everything you need to close the story successfuly. James McAvoy once again proves why he is hollywood's hottest new actors by delievering a sweet performance and Christina Ricci shows that she can still do some good acting. Reese Witherspoon is funny in her role.
Now there is a pretty descent story and it is about a woman who is kept in hiding by her overprotective parents because of a curse that ran in the Wilhern family for generations because of Penelope's great grandfather. Her great grandfather had slept with a maid that was working for his family and she was pregnant with his child so instead of marrying her he married some other woman and the pregnant lady killed herself. Now that lady's mother was the town witch and cursed the family so that the next girl that was born with Wilhern blood will have a pig face. Penelope(Chistina Ricci) has to marry a person from a rich family to break the curse but can't because everyone leaves when they see her face. All run except one Max Campien(James McAvoy) and the rest can become a little predictable, but if not I don't want to ruin it for those that are going to see the movie.
Now the film is pretty good and the story pretty well written and I definitely recommend that you watch it with your family because at the end theres a moral to be noticed. This film is great family fun.
